  1. I was at the game today and the crowd was better than I expected. The attendance was 32761. I don’t know how many no shows were counted in attendance though. The student section was pretty full at the start of the game. It looked like half of them left after the first quarter.

  2. Also mentioned that he doesn't look like a string bean anymore, has put on a decent amount of weight.

That was one of my main concerns, he wouldn't be able to do that.

And for the record this was not some idiot caller, this guy knew what he was talking about...pretty sure he used to be a scout/coach.

He was sitting right behind the plate and said all the guns were saying the same thing, so not like they were off or something.

I was standing about two feet from Hunter during the pregame introductions and he wasn't the skinny kid I pictured him to be. Also, my wife pointed out to me all of the people holding radar guns behind home plate. There were quite a few out there.

  3. Not a great outing, 3 IP, 2 R, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K's. But as long as he's healthy, I'll take it.

I was at the game tonight. I don't know how much it means right now, but there were some hard hit balls against him. The defense behind him could have been a little better, also.

On a side note, the Ironbirds have a program for little league teams where the kids get to run out on the field with a player and stand with them during the Anthem. My two kids got to run out with Harvey. I wish I could post some pictures. I don't know how to do it from my iPad.

For those that remember. A song about Manuel Noriega. Brought to you by the minds of Jello Biafra and Alain Jorgensen.

I've been listening to a lot of Al's side projects recently. Pailhead, PTP, Acid Horse, 1000 Homo DJs, Revco etc. It has been quite a while.

  5. Mine is more of an artist than a band. Marc Soloman was heavily influenced by the Replacements. He was in a band called Clumsy and they only released one album called "Center of Attention Deficit Disorder". If you're a fan of the Replacements, I highly recommend this album. Marc than got to play in a band with Tommy Stinson from the Replacements called Perfect. This was pretty short lived. I believe they only released one EP and one LP. Marc then went on to form Solly with several members from Clumsy. Their first album "Get it Wrong, it's Alright" is another great album IMO. Solly's second album is called "You Know What You Should Do" Again, If you're a fan of the Replacements, I highly recommend the music from this guy.

  6. Judas Priest (Rob H. rode a Harley onstage for the encore. :D )

My first concert was Priest at the Baltimore Civic Center on the Defenders of the Faith tour. I remember Halford riding his harley out on stage for the encore and whipping it.

    Full of Foo

Here's my favorite song off of Wasting Light. Another great video by the Foo Fighters.
