Before any trades are executed, or add any new draft picks, in 2 years the O's will have Mayo, Gunnar, Holliday, Ortiz, Westburg, Norby and Mateo for 4 infield spots. Not to mention Prieto and Wagner sneaking in there. I could see Mayo or Westburg shifting to first base, not sure Kjerstad needs to be considered for 1B.

Fair enough. I hope you're right. I have a feeling that there will be many teams looking to acquire needle movers. And I'm afraid that Elias is going to have to trade players we really don't want to see him trade. Mayo is one of those players.

We shall see. Sometimes you have to trade value to get value. If the O's want needle movers they may need to trade somebody that makes us all wince.

I don't know. If there really is to be a trade (or two) for a solid starter and reliever, the O's might need to part with players we really don't want to lose. Holliday is the only one I consider untouchable in our system.
