The biggest reason is that I will be a first year teacher this coming fall, starting a masters degree, as an Alternative Route student, teaching Special Ed Chemistry, so I have quite the work cut out for me. And besides that, the Orioles aren't that fun to follow anymore.</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>My health plan covered all the immunizations so I got them. Regarding the malaria pills, it depends on when and where you are going. I was in southern southern India during dry season so there wasn't a risk of malaria, even when the mosquitoes came out, so most of us on the trip stopped taking our malaria pills. They are a waste of money. But if you are going during rainy season, then it might be wise.</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>Regarding money, I just carried around cash, well, rupees. $1 = 50 rupees approximately. Everything is so cheap compared to here that you dont ever need to carry more than $40 on you, i.e. 2000 rupees.</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>I studied abroad in India this past January/February, during Delaware's winter session. Only got to the coast when we visited the mountain town of Ooty, but other than that we stayed in Karnataka, mostly in Mysore, but with a few days in Bangaluru (Bangalore). I just really enjoyed it there because it was so different from anything in America and the fact that everything is so slow and not fast paced like life is here. The place we were staying in Mysore offers one semester degree programs so I was thinking about checking some of those out.</p></p></p>

<p><p><p>Yeah, I compiled all of the Option Year material myself. I did it for the 2008 season and tried to stay on top of it, so updating it and reformatting it for the 2009 season wasn't to difficult.</p></p></p>
