Yeah if we need to make a trade then I am all for that.   I was strictly talking in house options.

Miller was perhaps the best relief pitcher I have ever seen in his time with the O's.  Almost completely untouchable.  I cringed when the O's never made an attempt to resign him.   I said  the same about Nelson Cruz and got crucified for that.

If we can wait till Oakland is out of the playoff race, maybe we can get Mason Miller. Was hoping I would at least get to see him pitch live today after Kimbrel blew the save, but they didn’t trot him out in the bottom of the 9th. Found that peculiar.

  2. I have a hard time understanding why he was not pinch hit for with the bases loaded against a lefty late in the game. You get a better matchup and a defensive replacement in a game that was still close at the time.

  3. Going 1 for 25 is not hard to do. I would imagine many HS Senior players could do that if given 25 at bats in the big leagues. Not saying Holliday is not worthy, just how bad going 1 for 25 is. Had someone not been on 1st, he could be 0 for 25.

I would like to see him more aggressive early in the count and more protective late in the count.

  4. Tony should be paying this guy to post. Love the content and his OP is not incorrect. Just seems like a lotta people don’t like his approach, which to me, is more entertaining. And he’s right about people so quick to take the low road.

And when it comes to Foosball, their is only 1 type of table and it’s called Rene Pierre. The Tornado tables are imposters and should all be destroyed for what they did to the game.

So I may have gone a bit overboard buying tickets during the public sale... I was trying to sell some for a game that I realized I can't attend, but just found out apparently you can't sell the tickets on seatgeek?  Has there been any communication of this, I couldn't find anything in the T&Cs other than some blanket statements saying the MLB reserves the right do do whatever they want lol.  I guess maybe I'm stuck with these tickets??

    TIA!

I only read that there would be no refunds or exchanges. If that’s the case then how are tickets showing up everywhere on the secondary market already?

  6. Speaking of playoffs, any idea when we might host the 1st 2 games of the Divisional Series, assuming we get a bye? So far, all we know is the Wild Card Series will play out from October 3rd to October 5th. I’m thinking the 7th and 8th. This gives the Wild Card Series winner a day off and still allows for 2 weekend games for the higher seed. Never too early to start planning.

Goochland represent! Believe he has property there still.  I’m not a fan of trading for him regardless if he *potentially grew up an Os fan.

Yup, often seen around Short Pump in the off-season with his hot a$$ wife. Member at Kinloch as well. 2 hour drive to Birdland if you pick your departure time just right.

We learned Buster's speculative opinion that Justin Verlander makes a lot of sense because he went to Old Dominion University.

    AKA "not much."

And ODU is much farther from B’more than where he grew up here in Virginia in Goochland County, just West of RVA. Unfortunately Buster isn’t informed enough to make his point seem even more valid.

I keep seeing this on here.

Why do people prefer Westburg over Ortiz?  Does Westburg do anything better than Ortiz (MAYBE more power)?

Btw, I’m not trying to knock Westburg, just trying to figure that out as it seems to be the prevailing thought on here.

It is because he is being compared with what Cowser is currently doing.  Not fair to either, but I think that is what’s happening.
