Going to see Heart on Wednesday. Opening act...Jason Bonham's Led Zep Experience. I understand this is the closing song and will have a local choir for backup. Looking so forward to seeing them in person (Camden, NJ). Can't get enough of this song by them. Awesome version.

Jury duty tomorrow morning.
You have no ranting rights until you're impaneled for Federal Grand Jury Duty...yep, you're there for 18 months (every other Wed). I've been there and done that. But, I guess I'm a weirdo, because I really loved it...every moment. What a terrific experince. However, most of the other 22 people really hated it.
So relax Spoonless, it could always be worse.

If you're into self help books, I'm currently reading Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart by Gordon Livingston.
It's not like I've never been able to figure out some of life's revelations, as pointed out in his book, but seeing them in print, kind of helps me understand why I do some of the things I do...like the same dumb decisions over and over again.
So far, it's a good read.

My best friend's grandmother and her 32 yr. old horse died on the same day...April 1st. Absolutely a horrible April fool's joke by God. :angryfire:
Plus my Dad can no longer go back to assisted living, as he had another minor stroke 3 weeks ago. My sister and I must find a "good" nursing home and fast, as he hates where he is now. It really sucks watching your Dad slowly fade to nothing. :cussing:

Olympic opening day ceremony hats.
I can't believe what they're going for on Ebay. I checked them out on Sat. morning, on the Ralph Lauren site. I saw them Friday night during the opening ceremony, and they were all ready sold out! :cussing:
I love that hat and want one so badly, but not for $300 to $400....that's just awful! :angryfire:
I guess it's all about supply and demand...sigh.

Got a call from the marina. A few days inside for the boat and some ice sculpting by techs...ta da...ice is gone. :clap3:
The repairs now can begin. I'll soon be posting in the Rants thread, when I get my repair bill.

Sell it. Best day of my life when I sold my boat.
32' Mariah Mid-cabin cruiser. Put it on eBay, guy in London wired me the funds and shipped it out of the Port of Baltimore.
I'm sure you know the old expression...the two best days of a boater's life is...the day you buy it and the day you sell it.
I've never sold anything on ebay, but I'll probably put it on Craigslist this spring...after the 12" of ice thaws!

I have a 19' Hurricane GS188. I love the boat, it runs and looks great, but where I use it, I can't even begin to use near the power it has. Time for me to go back to a pontoon...or nothing.

I drop my boat off at the marina for winter storage a few months ago and put on my own cover to protect it from the weather. Nice heavy duty cover! Because of the large amount of rain and then cold weather, the marina calls and tells me that my cover has caved in and I have at least 12" of ice on the deck of my boat from bow to stern. Holy smokes...12" of ice. :cussing: He tells me that they have had an unusual amount of rain the past few months.
And because of this ice, they cannot service my boat until the ice melts. :cussing: :angryfire:
Any body interested in buying a deck boat?

After almost a year laying off the stuff, I'm back on coffee. Since it takes my innards a little while to adjust, look out office bathroom!
I didn't realize that coffee could affect someone like that. I find that interesting. Does tea do the same thing?

I hate the O's Talk forum when there are a couple sketchy rumors out there and several people assume that what the sketchy rumors indicate is, in theory, a potential possibility is true, then decide to project several follow-up trades, then use these to come up with projected 25-man rosters for 2012, then in 2012 get disappointed when the O's don't have that roster.
Exactly. That's why I don't post much there in the off season. I guess it's one of those things you either enjoy it or you don't.
Instead, I start threads over here. However, I don't think people appreciate all of them. :laughlol:
