  1. Overreactionary threads by baseball fans after their team suffers a bad loss. Good grief, take a chill pill and relax before you start posting random weird crap on a message board. Last night it was all over the Reds board and tonight it seems to have spread over here. It just boggles my mind sometimes. *shakes head* :angryfire:

  2. People who make a point to call you but then when you answer the phone you're on hold and listening to muzak REALLY bother me. Tools. :angryfire:

  3. Can you just unplug their phone?

It's my coworkers on their work phones where apparently they haven't learned the whole concept of actually picking up the phone to talk on it. Since we all work in customer service and use our phones all the time, I don't think they would appreciate me unplugging their phones, LOL :laughlol:

  4. Extreme snowfall and the three hour commutes home (normal drive=twenty five minutes) that result from them when weather people get the forecast extremely wrong like they did last night for my area. :angryfire:

  5. That is very cool:)

    Do you have her autograph?:(

    I keep trying:o

Actually I do have it and I have two pictures with her too. I think she's back training in Maryland after being in Florida for a while so you may see her out and about sometime. :)

  6. Are you serious? I was kidding. The :D didn't give it away? Sheesh...it almost makes me want to think up some disparaging comments about figure skating.

I'm sorry. I felt like your comment was making fun of me and after a long week of vacation (and a lot of stress now that I'm back at work), I reacted a little strongly. No one likes to be made fun of and I apologize for reacting badly.

And for the record, I've been a skating fan longer than I've been a baseball fan. There isn't a thing in the world you could say about the sport that I haven't all ready heard but now I'm curious if you can actually come up with something, LOL ;)

  7. Just curious:)

are you a fan of Kimmie Meisner?

There is even a street in Bel Air named after her:)

I never get to meet her:(

Yes, I am a Kimmie fan and I actually have gotten to meet her a couple of times. She's a great kid and has been through a lot in the last few years with growing and fighting injuries. I was sorry that she had to withdrawal from the US championships last week due to a hip injury. Hopefully she's on the mend and will be skating great again soon.

  8. Stupid figure skating taking up otherwise good TV air time. :D

Figure skating isn't even on network TV enough anymore to warrant that type of comment. I'm sorry I said anything and I'll go back to lurking now.

  9. NBC is a horrible network. They picked up coverage for the US National Figure Skating Championships which were held last week (I was there which is why I wasn't around here much, if anyone actually noticed I was gone ;)) but neglected to show the highlight performance of the pairs event which occured only about five minutes before they went to their live coverage. :( The audience was totally robbed of a magical routine that was one of only two standing ovations the crowd gave to the pairs that day. It hurts more for me because these are two good friends of mine who gave the performance and they skated their hearts out but no one got to see it at home. I hope the idiots at NBC find time to air it at some point but knowing the way they work, they'll probably air a stupid "Sports Desk" alert segment instead. :angryfire:

  10. Between this board freaking out over this whole Mark Hendrickson thing (which isn't that big a deal to me considering the O's have to have someone else pitch besides Guthrie this year) and the Reds board freaking out about Willy Tavaras signing with the Reds (which also isn't that big a deal to me considering we only had three OFs on the entire ML roster before he signed), I am about done with the offseason. *insert banging head on wall smiley that we apparently don't have here, darn it* :ohlord::leaving: :slytf:

  11. This whole Tex thing is sure bringing out the trolls on the board. I haven't even read the whole thread since about 4 PM and there were quite a few. Who are all these random people who seem to have just registered to ramble and rant about Tex?!

  12. My employer is cutting our sick time in half for 2009. We used to get 12 days, so now we will have 6. My wife only gets 2 so I was the one that would stay home when our little girl was sick. I am happy I have a job, but those sick days really help when you have little one at home.

Wow, that's not a bad deal at all but I'm sure I think that because I don't have any sick days for work. If I get sick and miss a day of work (I don't have kids so that's not an issue with me), then I have to use a vacation or personal day. I was sick with that stupid stomach bug thing a couple weeks ago but without any vacation/personal days left (I've used them all for the year), I ended up missing work without pay. It really sucks to not have any but I'm sure it's very annoying losing something you got used to at work. I hope things work out for your family in 2009. Maybe you'll get lucky and won't need to use any! :)

Hmm, I guess not having any sick days is my rant because I forgot what I was going to write here in the first place, LOL :laughlol:

  13. 1. Work is insane right now. Our VP just got fired on Monday without any warning (although I think he was a big part of some of the problems we've had the last two years). We're all ready missing a Director of Medical Sales in my department (I'm an admin assistant for our medical sales department) and now we're missing two high managerial positions here instead of just the one and who knows when either of them will be filled. The first one has been open for over two months now with no end in sight. *sigh* :(

    2. I'm all ready tired of reading trade threads on the baseball boards and the world series hasn't even started yet. :cussing: One, half of the trade ideas being proposed aren't even realistic or probable, and two, we all ready have a bunch of the same people posting the same ideas multiple times in several different threads. You never get any new ideas...just the same variety of ones from the same people over and over again. No wonder I frequent the baseball boards much less during the offseason. That gets totally mind numbing to read day after day. :eektf:

  14. When Griffey Jr. hits his 600th HR anyday now, the idiots at Baseball Tonight and Sportscenter better DARN well give him at least the attention they gave idiot Manny for hitting his 500th. I've seen the darn HR about eighteen times and I've only been home for about three hours. The guys are practically orgasming about it even though over 20 other players all ready passed that milestone. Only FIVE other players have gotten where Griffey is going to be soon and if they shove that to the backburner for some idiot RS or Stankee news, this fan is going to let them have it big time. :angryfire:

GO JUNIOR. :mwahaha: :clap3: (Sorry for the rant but this really honked me off tonight. :cussing: )
