My plan is 115-47
Rep for the animated gif of The Nature Boy
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
In that particular interview, David Crockett, brother of Jim Crockett, who owned the mid-atlantic territory at the time, is sparring with RF about title defenses at their summer pay-per-view series, The Great American Bash. RF was signed to a number of consecutive title defenses against Dusty Rhodes and others, and RF is gloating that he's beaten them all; he said, in fact, "I'm the way I am because I'm the world champ, sucker!" WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
RF will always be the man.

Despite the damned drubbing some miserable members of our bullpen took tonight, I just want to say:
MATT WIETERS! MATT WIETERS!
ALL HAIL THE SWITCH-HITTING JESUS!
And for those who don't yet believe in Him, don't worry: Matt will forgive you.

Being a good pitcher 30 years ago earned him a spot in the HOF. You don't find it embarrassing for him that he continually talks about himself all night long?
Absolutely not. Palmer has earned the right to talk about himself--he's the greatest pitcher to ever don an Orioles uniform. #22 never aimlessly talks about himself, either. He always connects it to something that's happening on-field or that's relevant about a play that's unfolding. Next time, rather than disparaging him, closely listen to what he says; you'll find he adds a great deal to the broadcast.
-
Let's examine the logic behind your post, echo.
You log onto a forum dedicated to the Orioles and, based on some comments by its greatest pitcher, you deduce he has "no class" and make other disparaging remarks about him. More, you've no idea how those in the booth perceived his comments, him, or anything else--they may love #22 for all we know.
I love the fact that #22 blows no smoke up anyone's rear. He tells it just like it is, and that's refreshing and much-needed, particular as a foil to Hunter's always sunny in Birdland outlook and a juxtaposition to the buffoonery of Thorne, who can't correctly pronounce anything. Mr. Palmer has earned the right to say what he thinks/feels and to not have to justify any of it.
Yeah, this will end well.

How about the nightly rotation of commercials on MASN?
The Texaco commercial, "Tex Message". Absolute crap and a horrible play on text messaging. Give it a rest, Texaco.
That idiotic Firestone commercial featuring the girl in her Jeep. Get to the damn intersection and go already, will ya?
I could go on, but you all know the commercials of which I speak. Terrible.
