Dire Straits - Lady Writer ("Audio Video")of a live performance in Rotterdam on October 19, 1978, around the same time as the U.S. release of Dire Straits, and before the band went into the studio to record Communiqué, the album on which "Lady Writer" would appear.on Rockpalast, February 16, 1979.
I too, recall my fall from grace.... and the way that her hair fell down around her face... She knew all about history....

Solo as in just Stevie and his piano for the entire song as I recall. Unreal...

Blind Faith (I'm pretty sure without making sure.) and "Little Stevie" and his B-3. *happy dance*
Yep, side 1. Went to Vegas to catch the Clapton/Winwood concert last June, it was well worth the trip. Anybody that can relegate Chris Stainton to the role of backup keyboards is one talented dude.
Winwood's solo of Low Spark was the highlight of the show for me.

An embarrasment is what Hawk Harrelson does 6 nights a week for the ChiSox. Having Palmer in our booth actually classes UP our organization quite a few notches.
He gone.
Paul-y this and Paul-y that. Everything Paul-y.

I watched the game on MLB.TV. Among many, many stunning social gaffes tonight, he subtley put down the Nationals announcer by "asking" him if he ever pitched in the big leagues, which of course he had only pitched in the minor leagues. My jaw hit the ground - a new low (if that's possible) for Jim Palmer.
And how many times did he say over and over again how he wished he was 22 again and could pitch like Zimmerman again.
Jim Palmer is a narcissist - it's all about Jim Palmer. And if it ain't about Jim Palmer now, wait, it sure will be soon.
He has absolutely no class whatsoever. If you listened to the O's broadcasts for years with Jim Hunter and Jim Palmer as announcers, you would think that Palmer was the only pitcher in the booth. Jim Hunter was every bit the pitcher Palmer was and has tons of class. I've never personally heard him subtley or otherwise bring praise upon himself by talking about his own career and people he played with and all this irrelevent stuff.
Yeah. Jim Palmer has class. Just ask 'em.
Jim Hunter stayed in a Holiday Inn once where a bunch of guys were drafting their Fantasy League teams. One thing I can say about Jim Hunter is that he has a lower walk rate than Daniel Cabrera, but I don't know if that makes him as good or better than Palmer.:rolleyestf:
BTW, this post is in no way meant to slight the outstanding character and achievements of the late-great Jim "Catfish" Hunter.

The Obama concert at the Lincoln Memorial.
Is he a solo act or did he name the band after himself? :wedge:

That Little Feat is great stuff. I saw Nawlins and thought of Aaron Neville or Zydeco. Neville is a great man and humanitarian, but his music... not so great.
Feat's Nawlins connections are more along the lines of Alan Toussaint, Dr. John, the Meters. They started out more of a countrifried group and got boogier/funkier as they went along. They might have been alt-country 25 years before there was such a thing. Damn I miss Lowell George.
Not a big fan of Aaron Neville's music, but when the man opens his mouth to sing I think that must be what it sounds like in heaven.

Any other harp lovers out there?
Magic D can still play it like he did back in the early J. Geils days...

Does Scott like Nawlins style' funka-boogie? Lets find out...
