Flying in to NYC and I'm going to try to go to the Wed/Thurs games.

This kid is a joke. Totally disrespects the game. Put him in a trade for SP and let's move on instead of being played like a deck of cards. The only thing this kid sees are $$$$$.

It's a real shame that he's chasing the wrong dream. No one should tell him what dream he should chase
-
Would it be bad form to just ask him on twitter?

It is Sci-Fi. But it is also political commentary and humor.
Because things can be more then one thing.
To each their own.
I'm just giving you my BS cop out.
Wait, things can be more than one thing? Damn, learned something new today.
-
I was being sarcastic, because I kinda/sorta know you.
You were however getting close to a dangerous school of thought.
I do highly recommend Kornbluth btw. Shame he died so young.
I've always avoided it because I thought it was SyFy, which is not my thing.
-
Right.
So a small group of the smart people have to save all the stupid people from their own stupidity.
Been reading Kornbluth or something more sinister?
I read this a few times and I believe you are being sarcastic, but I can't say for sure.
No, I just feel that most people in our society resist change because they already feel overburned, and its just something else to deal with (no matter how small).
Stay the same, and my brain doesn't have to spend energy adapting. That's my opinion on the poll data.
Honestly, on this subject I enjoy getting Milligan fired up more than anything.
-
Hilariousness abounds. ESPN's poll results are in, clearly they're not what ESPN wanted or expected.
First of all, the majority of the players are in favor of keeping the name: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11452022/nfl-nation-confidential-majority-players-support-washington-redskins-nickname
Most (71%) fans are, too http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/11451964/redskins-poll-most-favor-keeping-name-dissent-growing
But it looks like we're in a time where majority doesn't rule. Will be interesting to see what ESPN will do to ram-rod this thing home later on tonite at 8pm.
I wonder what polling data would've been like back in the 50s for integration. People are stupid, and you know it.

This isn't really complicated, imo. If something is wrong and it's, relatively, easy to fix - fix it.
It doesn't seem like a good idea to name a mascot after a race of people, imo.
Correct.
-
Welcome.
We're a growing group.
In the last year, we picked up McNulty and RVAbird as free agents, and we didn't even have to give up any draft picks to Maryland/Northern VA/Washington, D.C.
That was only a one year deal. I've been dealt to San Francisco for the majority of this season.

We can't spell Weiters, Ripken or Reimold on this board, so how can we tackle something harder?
You do realize you spelled Wieters wrong, yes?

JimEnez, not Jiminez. Come on people.

Found a bar that opens at 8am here in my new city. It's too nice out not to tie one on.

Section 420, Row 8, Seat 10 on Sunday night
Look for the orange Ken Singleton jersey
I'm not sure if I'm going to any of these games. I really hate watching a game in that place.
I'm moving to Manhattan this month so I am part of this crowd now I guess.
-
I FINALLY found out what I'm doing for my next transfer. Staying put for a year.
I just found out today. If they transferred me elsewhere, I'd have to be ready to go in 2 months. What a joke. Sometimes I really hate my job.

Somebody needs to teach them how to cook crabs though, I hear that they boil them down there:puke:True story, but the crawfish last night were ridiculous. So I'm not going to correct them

New Orleans. I had oysters that tasted like bacon, hot wings, and cheese in the last few days. This place kills every other city I've been to.

Did you call the Roadside assistance number? GMs get a free rental when under warranty. I forget what kind of whip you have.
Mazda. It was such a goat rodeo. The Roadside people were the ones I talked to. They swore to me the dealership would be open on Christmas Eve, which it wasn't. I could have gotten a battery myself and installed it, but I figured since my car was less than 3 years old AND I have a full warranty they would replace it for free. So I had them tow my car across town to the dealership. Of course, it wasn't open, so I had to take public transit home after work on Christmas morning.
Everything worked out, I guess, besides my warranty didn't cover it and I paid 100 bucks for a new battery. Pretty ridiculous. I yelled at Mazda Customer Care for over an hour and they offered me a $50 gift card. I told them to shove it.
-
My car won't start. Its under warranty still, so I need to take it to the dealership, which is closed today. Open for a few hours tomorrow.
I'm working Christmas Eve night, then driving home after work to suffer...er, be with my family.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
How did I get lumped in with a crowd?
I don't advocate - nor did I ever - reckless, endless spending.
But not spending when we CAN while other teams improve around us is a very bad thing.
Again, this is not a controversial idea.
MSK
You lump people into crowds (incorrectly) all the time!!!
-
He said he would go for/hope for 5/$100m. Which imop is as good as not even making an offer.
MSK, this is basically what I was trying to say.
-
I was answering his post.
I said "No, I do want Hamilton." Minus the comma. He was attempting to see if I was going to backtrack out of saying I like Hamilton on this team because he called him a "question mark." I was saying I don't have an issue with Hamilton.
MSK
You said we need a Hamilton (of which there is only one hitter in FA this year who could be considered in his class as a hitter). Then you said you wouldn't sign him.
Which is it man?
Prayers and good thoughts for weams (Update: Weams has passed on after watching the O's beat the Yankees)
