More correctly they say he is expected to get the 16th highest bonus. They don't get into ranking international players.
Yankees giving out the 2nd highest bonus. They usually give out one of the top 2 or.3 bonuses.

I don't understand why the Brewers got so much more for Hader than the O's got for Lopez.
So I object to the trade based on the return for Lopez.

Fair minded people will give this a "C" or "C+" grade as things look now.
I gave up on Elias during last year's draft when his 1st.pitcher was a 5th rounder ranked #45 in Texas.
And then they gave that unknown catcher Willems a $1 million.dollar signing bonus. He needs to be with Florida.Orioles, not Delmarva.

Not going to happen. They're slow as hell.

Orioles Black win 8-1. Improve to.13-18
19 year old 1st year 6'3 lefty pitcher Luis De Leon gets his 2nd win in relief.
He struck out 9 of the 11 batters he faced.
In 4 games he is 2-1 with 2.45 ERA. 21 strikeout in 11 innings, 2 hits and 7 walks.
Hitters are batting .059. His WHIP is 0.82
He signed in December 2021 when the Orioles had little to none bonus money. Except for the $10,000 exception.

Orioles Black beat Diamondbacks 13 to 1. Improve to 12.and 18.
Switch hitting 2nd baseman Eron Estrada goes 3 for 3 with his 4th double. They hit him with a pitch too. Maybe throwing at him ?
So after 26 games and 79 at bats he's hitting .354, .465 on base, .532 slugging.
Listed at 5'8" and 152 lbs he signed for $175,000.

He was kinda local, from Pennsylvania.
They were said to have the bonus details worked out !!!!
Same thing happened last year. They had an agreement in place with Jud Fabian before the Red Sox drafted him. He turned down their offer and returned to Florida.

By the way, I looked at the 2020 draft again.
I would say the Rays did us a favor taking Bitsko in the 1st round.
We had to "settle" for a fellow named Jordan WESTBURG.

Lee's hit tool is rated 65 to 70.
Drew Jones hit tool is only 45.
Braves just went through this with Cristian Pache. Tremendous arm, speed, you name it. Traded for Matt Olson.
Athletics just demoted him to AAA. Still can't hit a baseball.

I'm happy with Right Fielder Raylin Ramos of the Orioles Black. Hits,.draws walks, 2 homers. I know he has at least 1 outfield assist. I think he is 5 for 7 in steals.
Like Benscome he is outperforming his bonus.
Hasn' t played that much. Injured ?

We always knew Prado was a contact/speed guy in 2019. Little to no power.

Benscome is a flyball hitter.
His ground outs divided by his air outs is currently 0.69. Right ?
Same stats last year in DSL.

Millionaire catcher Basallo did go 2 for 4 with his 4th homer
"Almost" Oriole Nick Bitsko got the win. 3 innings, 1 earned run, 2 strikeouts. Nick has been rehabbing injuries since being drafted.
After the draft, word leaked out he would have been the O's pick in Comp Round A in 2020.

At least De Los Santos and Basallo are coming around for Florida Orioles.
The Orioles Black have a couple of guys worth watching. Estrada and Ramos.
The Orioles Orange are just a wreck.
I wonder if they will continue to carry 2 DSL teams in the future. 19 clubs still carry 2 teams. Orioles don't have the chops to staff 2 competitive teams.

Braves fan here.
I love this trade. Waters is stuck in triple A.
3rd baseman C.J. Alexander is stuck in double A.
I do hate to trade pitchet Andrew Hoffman. 12th round pick last year out of Illinois just promoted to AA. Very dominant in High A
The 35th pick has a slot value of $ 2.2 million.
My best guess is their 1st round pick, #20 overall, is gonna be a tough overslot signing and they need the money. Almost certainly a pitcher.
I like Brooks Lee to the Orioles at 1-1. 65 grade hit tool for the switch hitter. Can play 2nd or 3rd. IF HENDERSON OR WESTBURG CAN PLAY SHORT !!!!

Orioles Black win 7 to 3. Improve to 11 and 15. The Orioles put their best talent on the Black.
Switch hitter 2nd baseball Aron Estrada went 3 for 4 with his 2nd homer. Now hitting .362, .446 on base, .551 slugging.
Only 5'8", 142 lbs he signed for $175,000. Will turn 18 in January, from Venezuela.
Back in January Tony reported he has issues defensively.

Rightfielder Raylin Ramos now hitting .288, on base .375, slugging .485.
Also threw out a runner at 2nd base. I guess that's why he plays right field.
Will be 18 in December.
Modest $200,000 bonus.

Orioles Black (6-17) beat Orioles Orange (8-15) 3 to 1.
Not much positive from this turkey. Only 6 base hits.
Raylin Ramos hit his 2nd home run $200,000 bonus. 17 year old Dominican. 6'1" 180 lbs
Hitting .241, .343 on base, .389 slugging.
5 for 7 in stolen bases. 60% of all outs are ground outs. You would think he needs to elevate the ball more with his size. ( and power ?)

For what it's worth the Braves are seeing their big $2.5 million dollar shortstop outperformed by some middle infielders who got $100,000 or less.

I think he just got promoted to AA.
He's a little to short and to thick to be the next Mike Trout.
Last time I looked he had dropped to the Yankees #3 prospect.
