  1. As long as Todd has his creepy infatuation with Lydia, he will keep Jesse alive, because it's the only way he can keep her happy.

I suspect Jesse will be caught in the crossfire of whatever goes down next week. I expect Walter to 'win' but in the process of winning, he will also lose everything, and that includes ultimately his own life, which he will take with the ricin. That may not be how it goes dowen, but I just don't think the writers will allow Walt to survive.

Also, dieing at the hands of his own chemistry would be a pretty fitting way to go in my opinion!

  2. Gareth, I like your theory about Jesse killing Walt when he comes back. The only problem is, will Jesse even live long enough? It'll probably take Walt quite a bit of time to get everything he needs to kill Jack and crew (as we've seen in the flash forwards with him buying the guns, getting the ricin from the house, etc.), and I really don't see Todd keeping Jesse alive that long. I think Todd just wants Jesse to walk him through one or two more cooks, then he'll kill him. Hope I'm wrong though.

Yup, I definitely see your point here. Thing is, I don't think that would be an acceptable way for him to go in the eyes of the audience, and Vince Gilligan has a VERY good handle on what his audience wants I think. I predicted (not here)that Hank wouldn't die from the gunfight, but that he would die in last night's episode. There was no way that we would just tune in this week and Hank would be dead. We got another 10 minutes of Hank being Hank to the end and then boom, which was a 'good' way to go.

Thus, I don't believe that they'll just simply have Todd off Jesse without one final confrontation between Jesse and Walt. But I could be totally wrong. Jesse has no real value anymore to Walt, and so him being a 'meth dog' could be a setup for a cold, harsh, killing. But as you point out, how Jesse can stay alive that long, we will see!

  3. So, Sony and AMC announced today that there is going to be a spinoff series based on Saul Goodman's character - acting as a prequel to Breaking Bad (which means possibly more Gus Fring, Mike, etc...) and the time before Saul met Walter. I'm sure it won't be as good as Breaking Bad, but it's nice to know they are looking to flesh out one of the stronger supporting characters - in my opinion. Not sure if Vince Gilligan is helming it either, but if he is, it makes it a 'must-watch', if not, I'll probably tune in anyway, and just hope they manage to keep some of the special sauce that makes Breaking Bad so good!

Also, with that, a few of you may have seen this, but others might have not seen it. Check out Saul Goodman's website.... (there is a lot of amusing content on there!)

  4. Who lives? Who dies? My prediction is that Todd and his crew intentionally miss until Hank and the other agent run out of ammo, then they use Hank and Jesse as blackmail/ransom/hostages to get Walt to cook for them. We know that Walt survives this because of the flash forward, but I think some serious damage is about to be done.

Aaron Paul put out a tweet last night simply saying "the worst is yet to come"!!

Great episode last night, the car ride with the Walt / Jesse phonecall was fantastic, and obviously the end scene.

It was also good to finally see Hank outsmart Walt, playing on his greed.

One person who I know we are all going to be crushed to see is Walt. Jr. I feel like they are going to make us see the disappointment, horror, terror, sadness, all of the above that he will feel when he finds out the truth about his Dad, who is a hero to him.

    Only 3 episodes left!!

  5. Train - by Goldfrapp, from the album Black Cherry (Goldfrapp's best in my opinion).

The video is sort of semi NSFW.
