    I hope he is wildly successful at baseball. For us. But I'm not rooting for or against him as a basketball player. I'm just watching to see what happens.

    Allen Crabbe is an interesting name to follow here. He plays in front of Connaughton. Portland just matched a RFA tender that will pay Crabbe $75M over the next 4 years. He won't be a starter. So Connaughton is looking at a similar role, at best.

    Crabbe is also interesting in that he started off his career similar to Connaughton:

    Year 1 - 15 GP, 6.7 min/G, 2.2 PPG

    Year 2 - 51 GP, 13.4 min/G, 3.3 PPG.

    So on the one hand, Connaughton won't play much again this year. On the other hand, Crabbe parlayed a similar 2 year trajectory into a 4/75 deal.

    Connaughton is shooting 23% from the field right now. He better step it up.

    Back when Connaughton was trying to get drafted by an NBA team, he said that he did not plan to go to Europe if he didn't make the NBA, but would play baseball instead. So, I'm assuming that this still probably holds true. Of course, by the time NBA teams make their cuts, the minor league season will be over. So, I'd assume Connaughton would spend a good chunk of the fall and winter months trying to catch on with another NBA team.

    Well this year is his last year guaranteed contract year. But he makes the least on the team right now. With the NBA every year there is new competition coming after 1 of those 14 jobs. Tough odds. And with him shooting so poorly right now he is not opening eyes with other GM's to get picked up if he doesn't make Portland.

    Pat didn't shot well today in the Vegas league. And has the lowest guaranteed salary on the 2016 team. What happens if he gets cut?

    Would he go to Europe or the O's since his dream was the NBA.
