@Tony-OH appreciate the article.
Personally have not paid much attention to MLB drafts until last year once the new regime has stepped in. The idea of overslotting/underslotting was foreign to me until this draft, but I tend to think this strategy is an excellent way at building up your farm system.

I wanted to bump this thread up and generate some conversation around this considering we are approaching the all-star break.
I must say yesterday's game was somewhat rejuvenating with all of the Adley & Gunner chatter. Although it did make me start thinking about Elias next moves.
Do you guys think Davis is going to be cut before or shortly after the break? It seems like his role is diminishing game by game making me think something is on the horizon.

I'm happy with it. Joe is very limited in what he can do, and it just so happens he is going to a very friendly QB system that he's familiar with...so I expect he'll do well there.
As far as the return..I think a 3rd rounder would have been the max. Did DeCosta jump early..maybe, but I would have rather have gotten the 4th now than wait and risk a lower return.
