just because they are on MLB NET doesn't mean they have a clue about the Orioles talent..I wouldn't trade ANY of those three for Miller..NOT ONE.

Usually that comment would be correct ..this time I think playing Mayo NOW is a reasonable and smart move...and few on this board seem to agree with me.

I read and take in all your comments...Yes, it IS a long season with ups and downs...and Yes, I tend to vent after a loss to a crummy team where we got just 3 hits and stuck out 12 times...but NO ONE has commented on bringing Mayo up. This kid is part of our future...Urias isn't. Ramon's a solid glove man, but he is hitting .196. and you can ignore that if Mullins and Santander and Cowser were hitting...but they aren't..and while Gunnar and Mounty are going to contribute...they are scuffling now too..If we brought up Holiday, and it failed(for now) that doesn't mean Mayo will fail...He's not just a power hitter...he is a patient hitter who doesnt have a ridiculous strikeout or chase ratio...I'll ask again. Tell me what is the problem with bringing Mayo up? How much worse could he be than Urias?

I forgot to add Mountcastle. He's hitting .200 in the last week...Bring up Mayo. It's NOT a panic move. Its a solid move.

Sure, Sunday the Orioles scored 11 runs, most of the runs came in garbage time. But the fact that this line-up is still at the mercy of slumping regulars...Gunnar, Mullins, Santander, Urias(when he plays) Cowser, I think it's time to at least TRY something new. It's time to bring up Mayo and give him a shot to give the Orioles another dangerous bat. Play him at third, or DH if you want...but this team needs an offensive spark. Theres NO excuse for striking out nearly half the at bats. And if you want to look, Mayo is NOT a big strike out guy...and his chase rate has been below MLB average. Give the kid a shot...because he's ready and he can hit, not just home runs..hes a very selective and solid hitter too...

I simply can't believe Coby Mayo wouldn't at least give a threat at the plate replacing Urias who is now hitting .196...its ridiculous already..EVEN if Mayo boots a couple in the infield... the lethal bat would give this scuffling offense a CHANCE to be better than it is...

BTW, Adley cant throw anyone out either...he's been awful this season...

we will drop out of the lead in AL East because Yankees are crushing Houston tonight...no excuse to lose to this crummy Mats team...hope we dont get swept...
