I am really glad the Orioles got Diaz. However, I find it odd how the Manny deal was centered around a hittter instead of a pitcher. Does anyone else find that odd as well? Do the Orioles have more of a hitting problem right now instead of a pitching problem?

I sure hope the Orioles don't trade Givens. He is such a nasty pitcher and is not afraid of pitching in tough situations.

You have to give Dan lots of credit for picking up Bleier. That was definitely a great move on his part. I think Dan picked him up right before the 2017 season, right?

Great move by the Orioles for cutting bait with Cortes. They did their best with Cortes and have now moved on.

You guys are never happy no matter who the Orioles sign. It is apparently easier to be negative around here rather than positive. Miley and Ubaldo were absolutely horrible. There is no way in the world that Cashner will be worse than them especially with a good catcher like Joseph.

I have no problem with Brady being our GM. He has Oriole blood in his vains and I know he will do his very best. He won't covet other jobs like Dan did. It is time for Dan to move on.

I agree with you wildcard. It is time for a FA pitcher signing to finally work out for the Orioles. The Orioles have definitely had some very bad luck when it comes to a FA pitcher signing. I hope Cashner is an Oriole for three years.

I feel the Orioles offense will be better this year than last year. Therefore, if Cashner can keep the Orioles in games, this will be a solid signing for the Orioles.

Yeah, you could be right. What if Brady has been told that he will be the GM once Dan leaves? Wouldn't that be interesting? I hope Brady met with Cashner to see what kind of physical shape he was in. I definitely trust Brady when it comes to physical fitness. I thought Brady was just a fitness guy rather than a guy who meets free agents.

Brady hasn't been involved with many of the Orioles signings which is why I am surprised that he was involved with this one. I know he was involved with the Orioles resigning O'Day. This is the first time that I have heard of Brady being involved with a free agent who wasn't an Oriole. We have all heard rumblings of people being upset with Dan. I wonder if this proves that. It sure looks like Brady has been given more power inside the warehouse.
