F. Passing on Lawlar at 5 and then not going over slot on any high upside prep players is incomprehensible. What is the point of tanking seasons if your going to pass up on BPA with the high picks. Back to back years now we took middle round talent at the top of the draft. If we have to suffer through 100 loss seasons at least take some impact players in the draft. Is that too much to ask for?

So we get 1 organizational top 10 prospect and it wasn't even their best guy. I just threw up in my mouth.

Agreed, there’s no guarantee the next owner is better, but at this point I’m willing to risk it. The Angelos regime has been mindnumbingly dysfunctional and incompetent. I’ll roll the dice.

Yeah OPACY would stay, just a new name. It would be weird seeing Cal Ripken day celebrated by the Las Vegas Orioles or something, but I’d take it for a chance at new ownership. Based off Tony’s article about Brady being in power because he’s friends with one of the Angelos kids, I have no faith that things will change once the kids take over.

My friend in an Orioles fans group texts was talking about Ravens/Colts scenario for the Orioles. Would you give up the entire organization/history of the Franchise, owner, front office, current players/prospects, team name, mascot, alumni, team records, etc but in return you get an expansion team with new ownership. Out of 10 diehard O’s fans it was a unanimous choice to sacrifice everything about the team to get rid of Angelos. Sad how bad things have gotten for a once proud organization
