  1. I don't see anyone on this list I would overpay for, which is why we have not signed any of these. I would think everyone wants more than what we gave Gibson. If we trade, we need a player with team control for a couple years. Again, we are forced to overpay in a trade.

By the way, I would love to see Grayson on the mound on opening day, or at least

    the home opener.

  2. Let him get developed further. There’s not a need to have him in Baltimore this season unless he forces the issue.

It would be nice if we have a Larry Walker type manning RF for the second half of the 2020’s.

Put it this way, I don’t know a thing about him beyond what his numbers say, and his numbers don’t say anything good.  So yes, if he provides any positive value at all in 2023, he’ll be a huge sleeper.

His numbers don't say roster spot, but there he is. I look at how Watkins kind of figured out how to remain in a game for five innings at times.

Beautiful stuff, Weams ! Thanks for the wake-up call.

Right now I'm gettin' a glass of merlot & I'm going to spin "Nighthawks at the Diner" on the turntable !

That should ensure a Gio Gonzalez poor outing !

  5. Grew up in Phils country. Went to many games at Reading and watched Bowa, Boone, Schmidt, Sandberg, Luzinski, Andre Thorton, etc. (plus Tommy Underwood, Jeff Stone LOL..fast legs/slow mind, etc.)

It was a bummer that the Orioles did not have an affiliate in the AA Eastern League in the 70's & 80's.

Anyway, the only team on TV in the late 60's (besides "Deron Johnson" & the Phils) were the Orioles. I had to watch them on "UHF" channels 15 & 21 with Bill O'Donnell & Chuck Thompson...and since the 3rd baseman shared my first name, I was forever hooked at the age of 9.

A few of these band members will later rise in the 70's. Who are they ?

Great tune. Then Quo abandoned their roots & went with the hard rockin' boogie woogie sound. I remember jamming to the track "Big Fat Mama"....that song rocked out !
