Happy birthday, Cesar Izturis.
For me, his most memorable game for the Orioles was a game in which I was at. It was Opening Day 2009, and the Orioles were playing the Yankees with their newly acquired free agents Mark Teixeira and C.C. Sabathia.
Early in the game, we were up big. But then the Yanks came back to within one run, at 6-5. In the bottom of the 8th inning, we had a runner on first base, and up stepped Izrturis. Izzy sent a ball to deep left-field. The person behind me yelled, "Get out. PLEASE, get out !!!" About a second and-a-half later, O.P.A.C.Y. erupted when the ball just barely cleared the wall. Our precarious 6-5 lead was suddenly a comfortable 8-5 margin, Sabathia was taken out, the Yank relievers continued to get pounded, and we had our big Opening Day win against Sabathia, Teixeira and the Yankees ....... possibly the biggest win of that entire 2009 season for us.
That was off Phil Coke. Sabathia was already out.

Congrats! Your officially the 1,000,000th person on this site to rant about this!
Now that's funny.

Time for a Back to the Future remake.

khanacademy.org is probably the greatest website on the internet.

Love to watch Jeopardy whenever I get the chance, but lately it seems like Alex Trabek has upped his smugness factor even moreso. You don't know all the answers, stop acting like you do!
I definitely agree with this.

I almost ordered it when I saw rumors of Batista and Brock returning. Glad I skipped it. I'll have to check out the Taker match though.

Rock beats Cena. Brock Lesnar comes out and destroys everyone after the match.
Taker wins after thwarting an HBK interference attempt.
Rhodes over Show.
Punk over Y2J.

Can't people just refer to us as "the Orioles" and not "the lowly Orioles"? I think the "lowly" is implied.
It is redundant.

I'm reading lots of "new" poetry and some theory these days. But my pleasure reading is David Foster Wallace's book on (the birth and concept of) infinity, Everything and More.
Have you read Rudy Rucker's Infinity and the Mind?

Swagger is one of those guys you can point out that would have benefitted greatly from the old territory system. He's got a great gimmick and he's a solid wrestler. He's just not entertaining.

Is HHH egotistical enough to book himself for the win?

I think it's nice that WWE understands that social media can be very effective. And I love social media. But my goodness, it is so over the top it is annoying as hell. They announce everything that is trending, various star's twitter followers..ENOUGH!
It is painfully annoying.
It would be a lot cooler if they kayfabed on their twitters. If they used it to advance storylines, it would be very interesting. No, I am not interested in their personal lives.

John Prine is also a beast.

How much money did they spend on the plastic surgery, man?!?
That was a great two years or so there. I miss kayfabe.

That reminds me: What was your biggest mark-out moment ever?
Because mine was -definitely- the debut of Brock Lesnar.
When Hulk turned down Million Dollar Man's offer to buy the WWF Championship for a million dollars. That was awesome, brother!

Paul Roma is waiting for the call.

I'm no huge Warrior fan, but everything he says about Nash is true.

I must be in the minority but I think the current country is better than its been in decades.

Anti-Rants
in Rants
I just explained MLB roster rules to my girlfriend, including waivers, arbitration, minor league free agency, the rule 5 draft, option years, international free agents, buscones, Cuban defectors, the Japanese posting system, and the importance of scouting and development. She actually acted interested the whole time. That's love right there.

HHH was the only guy to really come out of nowhere there. That was many milligrams of testosterone ago.

I have a feeling Taker will win at Mania and walk after.
