Im going to refrain from reactionary rants but... bad managing at the end of the game & I hope Kjerstad is enjoying his naps everyday in the dugout, can't believe Hyde woke him up to stand in the on deck circle there at the end.

lol wish i couldn't have drew this up like this but lets face it we all saw that coming

Im not much of a fan for dealing top prospects for a 40+ year old however, If Astros keep falling, I'd want to know if the new owner will pay for and what the Astros will want for Verlander. A prospect like Fabian, then Mountcastle help solve their 1B issue? Though he may still have stuff left in the tank i dont see paying up too much more than that for a 41 year old that comes at a big $ cost... Im not a big fan of the idea but it adds temporary SP and clears way for Mayo.

If they do have to send Holliday down at some point, who take his place? Do they bring Kemp back? Norby get a shot? Is Maton in the system? Soto? ?

We all spent all off-season discussing lineups, moves, this and that... none of us thought we'd see Kemp starting at 2B LMFAO

rules eliminate the possibility of them to be done for the day after walking the 1st batter they face. -- tho yes its annoying

Elias is very sharp no doubt. His ability to communicate to the press over his previous comments like, "Lift off" and now the Holliday comments is really well done. Basically he's saying they were only going to make it with injuries.
Again, the service manipulation makes sense in the long run. Would we all prefer to see Holliday and Mayo in the lineup, sure, but I'd rather see them in Orioles uniforms in 2030 for sure if that means a few weeks or so more in the minors.
guess that means relying on Langford/Carter, maybe Cameniro to dominate the league?

I'm disappointed. Odor, Frasier, and now Wong all during a time when the organization is stacked with talented infielders. I sure hope Westburg is the opening day starter at 2B, but it will probably be Wong. Pretty bummed. The Orioles just don't seem capable of trusting some of their highly touted minor leaguers (that statement is less about Holliday and more about the older prospects that they have slow rolled). Hopefully it is much ado in a few weeks, but opening day will be slightly less enjoyable for me than if the team was starting Holliday, included Mayo, etc.
Frazier made some sense, Wong makes none. Westburg has proven he can play in the MLB now and if Holliday/Mayo were up and struggling that is what Mateo/Urias/OHearn would be for.

Lol the fact the team has Wong, McKenna etc. as a talking point when you have all these "Top Prospects" Is just hilarious. . . Can't keep blaming Angelos anymore.

So...
C - Adley
1B - Mounty
2B - Westburg
SS - Gunnar
3B - Urias
LF - Hays
CF - Mullins
RF - Santander
DH - O'HearnBench - Cowser, Mateo, McCann
Final spot: McKenna, Wong, or Nevin
Opening day Vs. a lefty sees McKennas/McCann in the lineup, O'Hearn/Mullins out definitely not our best lineup on OD
-
We're getting Wong and Mateo in the opening day lineup and we're going to like it! Well maybe not Wong b/c Sandoval is a lefty so McCann!

I’m terribly worried that Wong will make the team because “he’s a veteran” or some such malarkey.
I’m equally worried that Elias will do nothing because he’d rather his kids grow old and die in AAA than trade one or two for less than a 100% return.
but I hopefully voted Yes.
The bigger question though, would be why wouldn’t he? We were one Rangers hot streak away from the ALCS. And he won’t part with anything to take another step?
I came here to say this, please god no

Yahoo app has the Holliday bomb as 466 feet (Santander's at 462). Can those possibly be right?
must of been windy down south today

maybe early on go somewhat easy but if they have no intentions on extending him then come summer i dont see the need for limits and preserving him to sign with the dodgers
-
on board with Kjerstad, he can hit his way not only into the lineup but hit his way into allowing us to deal for a pitcher with roster depth like mentioned above.

No, I lost the context of TopGunnar’s remark somewhere along the way. My bad.
I defer to Elias to determine (1) how effective of a pitcher Bauer is likely to be at this stage of his career, and (2) what kind of impact he’d have in the clubhouse.
a guy with a minimum 1 year contract that makes a bad impact on the clubhouse is easily discarded lmao so not sure what that is suppose to mean? If he acts like a moron and has a 1 year min. deal he's gone and if he sucks he's gone, im trying to find the risk here? a week of raging crybabies on tweeter? thats about it.

Bauer and Clevinger for near nothing
Basallo for Miller y/n?

no, Miller can be as good as he wants, the elbow or shoulder injury is going to come so no not trading a top hitting prospect for him
