  1. I was all in for the Labor Day game and possibly one of the other two. And then the last two weeks happened. My personal rule of attending games is not to go when the team is in a slump.
  2. Two in Queens followed by four in the Bronx! Will definitely try for one of the Mets games (as it happens less often) and maybe one of the Yanks games that week.
  3. I have a group of friends I watch the Caps and Skins with, the group is mixed between Nats and O's fans. The O's fans and I went to Horsebox for the wild card game in 2012 and while it was great because we won, I wasn't that crazy about the bar and haven't been back.
  4. There are still some seats for 5 bucks for the 4/9 game in the grandstand, bleachers and way out in the terrace, you have to use a Mastercard to purchase. I'm holding off buying until I know what the weather looks like for that day. I did early April games a couple years ago and got sick because of the cold weather. Also 4/7 is their home opener so don't expect any cheap seats for that one.
  5. They have 5 dollar seats for the series finale against the Yankees on Wednesday, April 9th at 7pm. Likely will go for that cheap. O's also play a day game in NY on my birthday this year (6/21) but since I'm seeing Billy Joel that night at MSG I am passing on the game so my fiancee and I have more than enough time for a nice birthday dinner before. Will probably go to the Friday night game instead. The Sunday game is Old Timer's Day which for the Yankees is every game (rim shot).
  6. Was originally going tonight until my work schedule changed. I can't go tomorrow. Sunday I'm not sure yet, but leaning towards passing because I got a bunch of stuff to do this weekend.
  7. Haven't bought yet, but looking at Friday right now. Wondering if prices will drop as Yankees keep losing. The downside of both a weekend series and a good Orioles team is the tickets aren't dirt cheap anymore.
  8. All three Yankee Stadium series fall on weekends this year which with hopeful prospects of being gainfully employed by Opening Day (and a new O's jersey to wear) means I'll likely be going to a lot of them.
  9. Plenty on Ticketmaster too, some of the nosebleeds are 40 after the per ticket fee so they may come out cheaper.
  10. Sunday is likely going to be the only game I go to. I'm not likely to go Saturday, Friday is going to be a last minute decision. BTW, that is a phenomenal deal on those Ebay tickets. Face value for the pair is 64. I think the same seller was selling for 20 a pair a few days ago, so it may be even cheaper a few hours before the game.
  11. I'm there Sunday for sure. I lost an Ebay auction last night that would have gotten me a pair in the upper deck for 15 bucks on Friday but there are still affordable seats out there. Hoping to see a slightly larger sea of black and orange than usual.
  12. Just thought I'd bump this since we're just over a week away from the last NYC series of the regular season and for the first time since I moved here the games mean something! I will definitely be there on Sunday the 2nd as I made plans with two friends. Will go to probably one other, leaning toward Friday because tickets are cheaper on Stubhub for it. Also going to Cal's statue unveiling in Baltimore on the 6th. On a side note, I started a Facebook group called "NYC Orioles Fans" which is a spinoff of people in the NYC Redskins Fans and NYC Capitals Fans groups. The Redskins group is a weekly thing during the season and the Capitals group is primarily for the playoffs, always at a bar in Manhattan. We are thinking about putting together some kind of viewing party for the O's for any crucial pennant race games and definitely any potential playoff games. Until this season it was a running joke that we'd ever do it, but now we have a good reason! Feel free to join any of the groups. I'm the moderator of the O's one so you just have to request to be added.
  13. I think I'm the same. I went to the last game against the Mets and haven't been to the Bronx yet this year. I'll definitely go in September though and for the first time in forever I'll see the Yankees in Baltimore because I will be at the Cal statue unveiling.
  14. Chance of rain during all three games in the series. I haven't decided yet if I want to endure it. If a game gets rained out, I'm betting they play a day night doubleheader on Saturday September 1st.
  15. When I saw this thread bumped, I thought it was for the fact the O's are in town a week from Monday. I'm actually going to Maryland this weekend, seeing my first ever Baysox game on Saturday and strong likelihood of going to the Yard on Tuesday. I'll be looking at the Tuesday game in NY the following week because I can't do Monday and I'm not sure I can do a day game on Wednesday (especially with the heat we've had).
  16. I'll be there tonight but planning to buy my tickets at the box office. The usual deals from Stubhub didn't exist like they do for the Yankees. Looks like I can sit anywhere in the upper deck for 20 bucks in addition to the outer upper box and the left field landing. I might base it on where the best seats are.
  17. I definitely will be going to at least one of them. Leaning towards Tuesday the 19th because they have a promotion to get a free 10 dollar gift card for having a Citi card which can be used on concessions. Probably will wait until the week before to see weather reports and if I may have any conflicts. Stubhub is not quite as cheap as for the games against the Yankees but still pretty cheap. If I go to a second game, probably will be the Wednesday one. Whichever one it is will be my first game of the season unless I sneak down to Baltimore in the next three weeks.
  18. Not sure yet if I will go to a game this series. Monday and Wednesday are Caps playoff games (against the Rangers no less) so the only one I'd consider is Tuesday and there's a chance of rain that night. I'll definitely be going to at least one of the games in the Mets series in June.
  19. Of the five games I saw this season, the O's only had a lead in two of them. The extremely frustrating part of yesterday was every time the O's had a lead they gave it up in the bottom half of the inning. I was happy the O's kept cashing in runs with RISP and even had the tying and go ahead runs in scoring position with Hardy batting in the 9th. Yesterday was a game the O's should have won, the offense was there and they bailed out the bad early pitching. Of course if the O's had gone ahead, I'm sure Captain Chaos would have blown it.
  20. I almost went down that weekend but I refuse to go to Camden Yards when the Yankees or Red Sox are in town. The point of going is to get away from those fans. I represent plenty up here already.
  21. I was at the game today. I'm done with Yankee Stadium this year. I went to five games and the O's lost all of them. I'm sick of no matter what happens, the Yankees hit homers. I'm tired of seeing kids who have never known a bad Yankees team, it's like a spoiled rich brat. I'm going to one more in Baltimore since I'll be down there in a couple weeks with family. I'm hoping the early rumor is true and we play at Citi Field next season. Would love to go to that.
  22. Thought they were accounted for, but my friends backed out so I have an extra ticket to both games of the doubleheader Saturday. I may have a taker for the day game but it isn't definite. The night game is definitely up for grabs. 1pm and 7pm start times. Would meet at the stadium, ticket is free. Let me know if anyone is interested.
  23. I'll be at both games on Saturday also. The day game I randomly picked in April when they ran a promo for the fans who had tickets to the middle game in the series and the night game I had tickets to the original date. Completely different seats too, I'll be in the lower part of the upper deck near the left field pole for game one and lower level near the pole in right field for game two. Family is also in town that weekend so not sure if I'll be able to meet up with anyone, but hope to see lots of black and orange in the stands next weekend (and hopefully we can even win one of them).
