Basketball is always the right decision.  Especially if you aren't a cant miss prospect.

He’s been a real good bench player for them. That’s elite when you think about how few play in the NBA. Good for him. Scored 14 the other night I think.

  2. Pat Connaughton is going to the East championship at a minimum and they might beat the Raptors for the honor to lose to Golden State:)

I remember reading so many personal attacks on the kid for not choosing baseball. Clearly with our history of developing prospects, he made the right decision. Good for him.

  3. Elias has done a great job in turning the ship around after an okay start. I honestly think this is definitely top 3 worst teams in baseball and I think there are strong odds we will be the worst again. Keep up the great work(sounds bad, but eye on the prize).

We don’t even need to look.   Until last year, the all time low attendance*  at a game was 9,219.    We just went under that 4 games in a row.

    * not counting the “0 game.”

And that’s paid. We were watching yesterday with friends for a bit and couldn’t believe on such a nice day how few people were there. Portland Orioles? I seriously doubt Angelos would ever move the team but not impossible.

I think that ship sailed for both of them. They are on the wrong side of the age-performance distribution and Cobb can't seem to stay healthy.

I liked the Cobb signing but he’s been atrocious. Has zero value at this point. Cashner has some value (not much) at least.

Season ends today; we draft 3rd. Any advantage we gained from having unknown pitchers/hitters is gone. All our players have a book out now and their flaws are showing.

Not a big surprise here but any illusion of competitiveness is gone with the wind.

Let the race to the bottom begin. When does the mlb app start showing wildcard standings?  It makes it easier to track the 1 draft pick race.

It looks like us, the Royals, the Marlins and the Reds will be the big players.

    Mancini is very fast?

He's a rookie manager, a learning curve is going to exist.

Unless something truly egregious happens I'm giving him a pass on the season.

No rush. Give him the decade. lol

The GM's job isn't to listen to fan's advice on whom to sign.

Of course I don't think Dan had much to do with Davis being signed.

Yeah, he didn’t want to sign CD, that was all Buck & Brady, the latter of which is still here for some very unsettling reason.

3 more K's today. Now 0-17 with 11 K's on the year, after finishing last season 1-37.

Unbelievable. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting anything this bad. I am even at a loss for words.

but hey, he’s rich! I wonder if Buck gets a cut.

What a bunch of bull hockey.   I just hate it when people can’t accept that there are two sides to an issue because of their own feelings.   Don’t insult me by telling me I’m arguing just to argue.   The manager, Jim Palmer, Rick Dempsey and lots of posters agree with our side of this argument.   If you want to argue the other side, go ahead, but don’t tell me why I’m making the opposite argument.    I’m doing it because that’s what I believe, for the reasons I gave.

Well HE double hockey sticks! You are a lawyer. You are paid to argue professionally. So not much of a stretch really....

But I am sure ripping a kid, pegged as bullpen fodder by most on here, out of his possible career pinnacle (in a season that means absolutely nothing record-wise) makes perfect logical sense to you.

Are you still ignoring that he threw 40 pitches on Thursday?  You are, aren't you?

Does it really matter a hell of a lot to David Hess?  Or are you just assuming that it does?  Has Hess said that he's upset?

Don't mind me, I'm arguing for my jollies here.

    See, I knew it!:)

Thus we must assume that if Hess stayed in he would have a torn labrum? Perhaps we can avoid using pitchers at all to avoid such an injury? Not buying this argument. Sorry.

We are discussing an obvious stupid decision on a board with people that just relish in disagreement.

Guy I know posted on FB the other day “I went over to the OH the other day looking for insight...and well learned my lesson there, I don’t know what I was thinking”

Our combined no hitter was unique because Milacki couldn’t go more than 4-5 ever. This is not that. And even if it was...you let him finish because it doesn’t matter to us, but it matters a hell of a lot to David Hess.

Sometimes there aren’t 2 sides to an issue...one side must argue alone for their jollies.
