I remember going to the final home game of 2012. The O’s could clinch a.playoff spot if they won and the Angels lost either end of a doubleheader they were playing. The game drew 41,000+ and it was very loud. The O’s won their game, and while people were still celebrating, they started showing the Angels game on the big screen. It was in the last inning and the Angels were on the verge of losing 4-3. I’d say 3/4 of the fans didn’t budge from their seats, and many of the players hung around the field watching it, since an Angels loss would clinch at least a wild card spot for the O’s. The Angels scored two in the top of the 9th and held off Texas in the bottom of the 9th, so the O’s didn’t end up clinching in front of that crowd. But later that day, while the O’s were on a flight to Tampa, the Angels lost the nightcap and the O’s clinched their playoff spot.
I’ll just never forget the sight of 30,000 Orioles fans sitting in their seats watching another team play on TV. What an exciting September that was. The O’s drew $40k + six times that month.
I expect something similar this September.
I was at that game too.

Cowser has hit .350/.480/.800 in the week since being sent down. That’s consistent enough for me. Kjerstad is actually in a bit of a slump, .606 OPS for August. If Santander goes on the IL (which I doubt), I’d expect Cowser to be recalled.
Sounds like a good week, would another week kill him? Do you think Stowers will ever wear an Orioles uni again?

Grateful Dead Night.
At the risk of having rocks (or bongs) thrown at me - I never liked the Dead or Dillon - there, I said it.

All those people tripping balls listening to The Dead.
Is tonight 2 for one ex-hippie night in Oakland?

We'll need to keep scoring. Would rather see Bob Gibson or Kurt Gibson pitching at this point.

This inning may never end.

They are a very inexperienced team.
Yeah, but you would think they would be familiar with falling objects on this planet...

Tatis is the type of player that’s happy as long as he’s getting the attention and having good numbers. Winning is a non-factor.

Gunnar is missing way too many fastballs lately.
He's still got some growing to do vs. lefties, that's for sure.

2 run deficit is like 8 against Snell.
I'm not convinced Snell is going to cruise through this whole game...he has some control issues too, but we need to demonstrate better patience...except Adley, he's seeing the ball well.
Camden Yards could get wild
