Today we would have been shutout by good pitching.
Until Stowers bopped a 3 run HR. 439 ft.

Any word on Stowers wrist injury?

He was the best fielding first baseman ever at catching the short hop throw. He won 3 Gold Gloves.
He had a very smooth uppercut type swing that crushed the ball.
He did not seem to swing as hard and fast as we see now days with most of our hitters. Heavier bat?

That one bad pitch was the very first pitch after talking with our pitching coach on the mound.

I must be getting senile because I remember Brady batting cleanup before.

Does anyone else remember the year Brady Anderson hit 50 HR, Davey Johnson started batting him 4th instead of leadoff.

6 leadoff homer's of course no one is on base. But the bottom of the lineup, everyone is struggling to bat above the Mendoza line except Mateo.

Stowers has gotten a hit in every game he had an AB except one.
And that game he went 0 for 1, May 18.

I say again, we should play Stowers every day, against all pitchers. Lets see if he can hit. Now is the time.
But it will cost Mullins and Hays some playing time. I think we already know what they can do.
