With Mountcastle and O'Hearn, I don't see how moving to 1B helps Mayo this year.

We have on extra infielder. Suppose Mateo PR for someone in the 9th inning of tie game but doesn't stay in the game. In the 10th, Urias gets HBP and has to leave the game. That kind of rare situation. That's why they call it an emergency. Not sure why you're having a conniption over it.

McKenna taking balls at 2B was a sign that Holliday was going down but I don't think anyone said something. McKenna is the emergency 2B, like Lenn Sakata was the emergency catcher.

His real age will match his baseball age in June. He could have a role next year assuming Hays doesn't come back.

Yeah, but Westburg has become such a staple to the lineup and begun to establish himself offensively I thought they might do the Gunnar thing and say 3B is yours. No more back and forth.

I would rather have had Holliday hit great but this could work out. We gain the extra year. Reasonable people can’t suggest we manipulated his service time. He can still be back up well before the 2nd half if they think he’s ready for another go at it.

They won’t be able to get Kjerstad AB’s as it is. Stowers makes no sense whatsoever.

Won’t surprise me but Urias, according to Fangraphs was much better at 2B than 3B last year. He was actually better at 2B than Westburg according to DRS and OAA.
