I also don’t recall anyone being worried about it before.

Basically every closer was a failed starter at some point..including Rivera.

In his career, Burnes’ best FIP is facing the order the first time.

If he has to be a closer, he figures it out. People like to judge a guy in a completely different role and act as if that is how things will always be. He’d be an elite closer

Yea the suggestion is out of the blue. It’s an absurd thought. And Smoltz did that after he had TJ surgery.

Said it all offseason but not trading Robert was a huge mistake by them. I really wanted the Os to go get him but I likely never would have traded what it would have taken to get him because I was worried about his injury history but the WS could have gotten a haul and that was a failure not to do so. That said, they could still get a haul IF he can show he’s healthy and performing well.

If they are willing to trade him, I would think we need to move a little more than that.

They need a lot. It’s possible trading a reliever for everyday help right now is in their best interest. Helsley getting all the saves means his value likely will be higher.

WHIFF is swing and miss..chase is getting them to go outside the strike zone.
