Doubt it is his peak. His home run yesterday looked like he barely swung. In two years he could be Stanton or Judge power.

Basallo is going to be worth more and more as time goes on. That would be really fun to have Miller and then next year Cano, Miller and Bautista. That would be a nasty back end.

What if they were able to trade someone like Irvin for a reliever? Seems to me that a decent lefty starter may be able to pull in something. Maybe throw in a Hays or Urías.(Not for value but to clear some room)

With Pedro Severino catching? I did want Abrams as the #1 pick but am happy with AR. I don’t imagine this group would have been patient enough with Abrams, as he is just now coming into his own.

I thought he would/should be on the opening day roster. I still don’t think he is far off from clicking. Maybe he just needs to wear a thong or breath out of his eyes. All the talent in the world is there for him to succeed but he needs to hit his stride, much like Gunnar had too. I give him two more weeks and then decide from there if he needs sent back down. I would also start him against the lefty today and just hope it clicks today.

I thought you were mistaken on the silver slugger award. I had to look it up. That was a very low bar and he benefited greatly by being in the utility category. Gunnar is a special player and I would sign him to an extension as the primary goal. Obviously I would have all three on the team as long as they could, though.
