God I missed that one. Holy crap.

She did a national telecast last year of all women and MLB was really hyping it up. It was cringe. Halfway through the game she made a gaff where she did not know a basic rule of the game. I forget what it was now but maybe you can research that. She is not good at her job.

Honestly I dont know her history but she seems like she did not grow up a baseball nut but is trying this just to be an announcer. If baseball really has to force women into all these jobs they should go to the women who played softball at a high level like college and international level. Bring them in. There are some amazing women softball players that would actually have real insight into the game.

She was awful. I listened to her stumble around but Roy Firestone had to mute her. She had some great call on Santander homerun. Melanie: "And Santander ties it up on a…. Swing!" Melanie! you need to do better.

I remember when they opened the Stadium the Nats got a ton of flack for slow slow slow service with the food and vending lines. I thought they had gotten better but obviously they have not.

High Heat on MLB just now is talking about the Orioles and Kimbrel and Miller. They say NO MATTER WHAT Baltimore can not depend on Kimbrel to save games in the playoffs. The dude who managed the American team in the last WBC was saying Oakland would want a stud for when they opened the Vegas stadium. He was saying maybe Oakland would want some mega prospect in low A ball. This is kind of confusing to me. Also do the Orioles even have a mega star in Low A ball? Basallo is the best guy we have a long way from the majors and he is in AA already.

I got one of those low blood sugar got to have her veggie food wives also. They are so annoying. If I didnt get some other use out of her It would be too much. LOL Why cant they just eat a hamburger once in a while? And now you have given me another reason to not recycle. I just do cardboard boxes. The recycling in my area just goes into the dump anyway. My lefty wife called and found this out. She was hopping mad. But they told her on the phone they still wanted people to recycle so the public stayed in the habit. Not that it was doing one bit of good just so the public did what it was told. What a load of crap.

Can this kid be used out of the pen? Maybe as a closer? Big strikeouts. Low walks. We dont need a starter prospect right now with the Major League team loaded with arms. We need something better than Kimbrel in the 9th.

Wells could be the answer if he is healthy. He did a solid job out of the pen his first year here. Had nerves of steel. He throws strikes. Sometimes too many and gives up some bombs but a healthy Wells might be better than a wild and perhaps injured himself Kimbrel.

Is Wells even pitching yet?

I was screaming at the TV when Mateo slid into second and did not know where the ball was. I screamed something very naughty and at the top of my lungs for Mateo to get the heck up and run to third. My dog ran and hid. My wife yelled down to me if I was okay. I was okay. Oh the shame.

Kid has big time strike outs. You need that in a closer. He is 4-1 with a 1.69 era. 37 innings pitched with 50k's. Possibly he even can increase the K rate going only one inning at a time. I know he is a starter prospect but we dont exactly need that this year. And much like Oakland's Miller we can stretch him back out next year for a starter slot when Burnes leaves for the Yankees. Worth a try? When the other route is to trade for an elite closer and give up a Kjerstad and more. Let the kid see if he can get some outs.

Shut up Melanie NO one cares about some meaningless oddity no sweep streak. All that is crap. Damn this game is one of the most annoying of the year. It comes down to not having a big gun arm in the freaking bullpen.

Elias and Hyde will keep using Kimbrel because he is vet and good in the club house and turns a good double play and once punched Bautista in the face.
