  1. I wonder if fan duel would have taken a bet on that. Could have cashed in huge!
  2. Of course it helps the visitors. But we've got to play 81 games in the park, the Yankees don't play here 81 times. The Jays don't play here 81 times. It helps the visitors from a cumulative standpoint but the Yankees, Jays and the rest of the AL East as well as other opponents don't have 81 games at a park with a fence like that. Our guys do. I agree, the bullpen has helped, Akin, Kremer has helped. Both statements can be true.
  3. Big fan of the wall move. Home run derby every night at the yard was getting ridiculous. I'm not sure if there's been an uptick in doubles and triples at OPACY this year but that doesn't really matter to me at this point. Point blank, it's helped our pitching and I'm good with that.
  4. Yeah, I mean I agree that Henderson probably has all 5 tools. At least more of a 5 tool skill set than what Adley has.
  5. Thread title should be changed to "Adley is the Show." People say Henderson is more talented, I suppose its because he's a middle infielder. That's fine, I still think Adley's better so far.
  6. @Uli2001maaaaaan if they sit on 71 wins for awhile it’s all your fault.
  7. Count me in as putting in Hall as a bad idea. At this point I think he should only be in games in a big deficit or with a huge lead. Bringing him in a playoff implication game with a high leverage situation isn’t optimal. But let’s not forget that this is what we wanted. We all clamored for Rutschman to be up earlier than he was. Then Stowers. No one asked for Vavra but we all got excited when he arrived. Pitches hissy fits for Hall and Henderson. So while I do agree that using Hall there wasn’t great, it would be ignorant to think a guy like that wouldn’t ever have to come in a close and tight game when we’re in a playoff chase. It just sucks that he looks so completely lost. But Hyde didn’t put him in a place to succeed. I hate to say it because this team has been resilient all year but these next two days are most likely the season from a playoffs perspective. Was hoping for a split today, didn’t expect to see a letdown like this. This has been terrible. But Hyde seems to get his team to come back after bad and ugly losses. We’ll see.
  8. Yeah it feels like he’s been around forever. No doubt about it, he’s a good dude. I hope he plays a few more years and gets his 10 year pension.
  9. What a disaster this is turning out to be. I hope Lyles doesn’t have Covid and can make a start in the next couple days.
  10. I like Perez’s chances to get through a clean inning before Hall pours gas all over everything. I’m good with burning Perez in game 1 to give keep it 4-3 headed to the bottom of the 9th. Stashing ALL THE GOOD BULLPEN ARMS for game 2 is silly. Lyles can get 5, Akin, Tate, Bautista. Done.
  11. Who’s to say they don’t jump all over Lyles and get blown out in game 2? What then?
  12. Ugh I don’t even feel like watching the second game. Limp **** offense.
  13. He looks like ****. Like, he threw a pitch seriously in the area where Randy Johnson was ****ing around with John Kruk in the ‘93 all star game.
