  1. Cash was on MLB radio earlier and sort of suggested that there was no pressure on his team and that they aren't phased by anything going on right now. Hard to argue, they look loose right now. Hopefully, they revert back to the July version of the Rays at some point. I don't particularly see the O's crumbling under pressure themselves, but this is new for them and they are being gut-checked at one of the most important times during the regular season. We'll see what it looks like Monday morning when the dust clears.
  2. I'd argue the wrong time to go into a funk would be the playoffs. I'd rather they get it out of their systems now.
  3. Even the catchers hitting better than him have over 100 fewer ABs's some 200 less.
  4. There is a reason that teams other than the O's aren't giving their catchers 600 ABs. DH or Catching, wears you down. I don't recall his legs buckling on swings in the first half of the season.
  5. I always thought the stereotype of a guy in a wife-beater with a Budweiser in hand taking his team's losses out on their wives or their dogs was just a joke. I guess it's a real thing? I can't reconcile it in my head, but maybe it's a real thing. Maybe the people most upset are the ones losing money on the team, I don't know. Even at my most rabid fandom, I've never once considered screaming at my wife after a tough loss, why is it her fault?
  6. For those of us that have been around since the early 2000's we've seen this movie before, Frobby. When the team does well a few things happen. It seems that some people lose rational thought and freak out over every decision and the doom and gloom starts, there is also an influx of new posters, which is a good thing for the site overall, but they generally come into places like the game threads with 30 or 40 posts and just say things like this team is dead, season is over, just a bunch of reactionary posts and for some strange reason, people just type things without re-reading it first and it comes across quite poorly. It's a nice bandwagon to jump on when the team is cruising, it gets near insufferable when they have a 3 game-losing skid.
  7. I knew he was playing a lot, but he's really playing A LOT for his first full season.
  8. The most valuable catcher who qualifies in MLB has an OPS of .818 and 4.1 WAR has 40 XBH. Adley, by far has the most ABs, he's being overused in his first full big league season.
  9. I was interested in seeing his numbers in relation to the rest of MLB. He's playing too much, I think. It's his first full 162 game season and he's playing too much.
  10. The playoffs haven't started yet. You can't spit on the literal definition of the playoffs and say this is it. I'd much rather they struggle now than in the playoffs, you know, the real playoffs.
  11. I'm not trying to be offensive but your best posts are the informational ones with Twitter links. Hyde reads the team.
  12. Wasting Stephenson on Westburg, Frazier and Rutschman. Should have just left Armstrong in.
  13. Pro Tip: Hover over a name on the left side. When the window opens up look at the bottom right and click that button. Check all three boxes and click save. Profit. If there is a limit I haven't hit it yet, I'm 4 pages deep.
  14. He's been pretty hittable lately. Not getting great break on his money pitches. Should be fun to see what he can do.
