You should probably use the last 30 days vs the month of August, he's had 38 AB's all month. He's only had 48 in his last 30 days and despite Westburg having over 30 more AB's Frazier is OPS'ing 38 points lower.
Yeah, I was being hyperbolic when I called it a trash stat. I was just implying that errors or fielding percentage, like Ben points out every night aren't really good ways to tell how good a player or team is defensively.
If your range is so bad that you don't get to the ball, you'll almost never make an error. Great fielders have the most opportunities and more errors, which makes errors a trash statistic to evaluate how good a defender is.
Tanking doesn't guarantee the first pick anymore, not much incentive. The issue is their pen, they'd be a respectable team if they had any sort of arms in the pen.
