Interesting. Can't wait to hear the full deal.

If the Orioles payroll was any lower, Ken Rosenthal could reach it.

Remind me how we acquired him? Was he a trade return?
Pretty sure we drafted him last year (5th round if I remember from the article correctly).

Didn't see that one coming. Sounds interesting for sure.

I really don't think Bundy will bring anything back of value at this point. I'm all for trading him though if he does.

2/3 so far. I went with Henderson and Baumann this time. Love the upside of both these guys.

So, is Hays at his best better than AJ at his best?
Interested to hear Tony's take on this.
My gut feeling (and eye test) on this is that Adam, at his peak, was a little bit better center field (better reaction time and instincts) than Hays. But I think Hays has the tools (more speed & agility) to make more spectacular catches.

2 for 2 so far. It's starting to get more difficult though. I like Baumann at #6 this time, love his upside.

Well done Chris! Very generous.

Martin slashed .279/.315/.397/.712 over the last two months of the season but Hyde did a good job of making sure he had good matchups. I think he goes back to AAA next year, but that will depend on whether the Orioles want Villar playing SS everyday next year. If Martin hits well in the spring, he could still break camp with the Orioles since the team is better defensively with him at SS and Villar at 2B.
Elias could watch the waiver wire as well but it's doubtful many teams are letting go legitimate major league SS's.
Do you think there is a good chance that we draft another possible SS option in the Rule 5 again this year?

Bonus points to John Angelos for making it creative and not just saying "No plans to move or sell the team".

Both Wilkerson and Mullins have to get to that ball as well. I'm not at all sure that either of them can make the complete play.
Very true. It sure is nice to have a legit CF again.
Now we just need a legit, LF, SS, 3B, SP1, SP2, SP4, RP1, RP2, RP3, RP4, RP5, and catcher.

I liked how easily he gunned down Vlad at second. He had time to blow a bubble, or pound his chest, before he threw.
Yeah. That was awesome. A rocket. I think most of that was on Vlad though, he was out by a mile. Wilkerson and Mullins probably both make that out (although a much closer play).

Per Baseball Savant, there have been 89 5-star catches made this year, and Hays’ wasn’t one of them. I mean, it was a terrific catch, but I think if I looked I’d find some better ones. But catches above the wall are always fun.
I think his catch last night was more impressive.

Adam Jones had an Orioles hall of fame career with the O's. I'm pretty sure we should all be happy if Hays can repeat Jones' career here.
Adam is my favorite Oriole of the last generation of O's.
But give me Adam's career PLUS a World Series win and I'll be more than happy.

He is so fun to watch right now.
I don't think they should sent him to the AFL when the season is done. I don't like the risk of him getting hurt just to get a certain amount of at bats.

Awesome catch, and personally, I love the passion. Did someone post the statcast catch probability on that? I haven't seen it yet.
-
With his track record of up and down seasons, I think we may be able to get a better return at the deadline next year (if he's having a good season). I'd be surprised if we could get anything of real value for him this off-season. Would love to be wrong though.

Nice to see him put together strong back-to-back starts after that little hiccup coming out of the ASB. He's not going to be an ace or TORer for anyone, but I believe he can certainly be a serviceable starter in this league/division.
He could be a great mid rotation piece on a contending team. He reminds me of a left handed Miguel Gonzalez (with maybe a little more upside).

Taking the space time continuum into account, I say 592. Give or take 591.

So many pitchers in the minors having really good years is such a pleasant surprise! So far the new regime is getting an A+ for me in pitching development in the minors.

Well now that everyone's hopes are up. Who are we going to sign?

No issue keeping him on the team this year, he's a cheap SS and you gotta put someone there, but it wouldn't surprise me if we don't keep him on the 40 man during the offseason so we can protect some possible rule5 guys.
Bundy traded to Angels for Isaac Mattson, Kyle Bradish, Zach Peek, and Kyle Brnovich

I agree with you about not enjoying watching Bundy pitch. I think it's because I had such high expectations for him and his body language on the mound always seemed kind of odd too.
