Means is the best thing by far that has happened to the team this year. I was skeptical at first, but I'm a believer now.

It's the bottom so far...
Right. There's a game tonight that they might just lose...

I'll never understand why Angelos fired Johnny Oates.
It's easy to forget this move amongst all of Angelos' other transgressions. Oates was a very good manager and an even better human being.

That batting average tho...
That doesn't include 2-4 from last night, if that helps. Just trying to find something positive over here.

.250/.333/.556 since coming back to Bowie June 5th.

I think that pitch Cisco missed might have been a strike.

What a boneheaded signing that was.

Didn’t watch the game. How did it look?
Cisco battled Cole to 3-2, fouled a couple pitches off, and then hit a hanging, outside slider over the fence down the left field line. It was a fine at bat.

Best GM: Paul Richards?

Cisco was blocking the plate without the ball. Guy should have been safe regardless.

- A foul tip is a pitched ball that skips off the bat and goes "sharp and direct" to the catcher's glove "and is legally caught." That the ball is caught is the cornerstone of the definition of a foul tip.
- A foul tip is always a strike; and, unlike a foul ball, a foul tip can result in strike three.
- A foul tip is a live ball. Runners can advance (steal) at their peril.
- If the catcher does not catch the ball, then it's a foul ball (dead ball). Period. For clarity, let's call this a tipped foul ball.
- If a tipped foul ball is caught by the catcher after the ball hits his mask (for example), his chest, or anything else except his hand or glove, then it is not a foul tip, but a foul ball.
- Once a tipped foul ball hits the catcher or umpire and (let's say) pops up into the air, it cannot be caught for an out. It's a dead ball because the catcher and umpire are stationed in foul territory. It's the same as a fly ball that hits a backstop or fence. The ball is dead and play has ended.
- The mechanic for a foul tip is to brush the back of your left hand with your right hand in an exagerated motion, then give the strike signal.

It makes more sense on strike three to me than at other times for some reason. The proper play would have been for Cisco to drop the ball intentionally.

A caught foul tip is in play. How do I not know this?

Wait a minute. The runner can steal 2nd on a caught foul tip?

Solid effort. I thought he was done in the 5th. Not a lot of room for error with his stuff, but he got through it.

He's toast. Good 13 outs, though.

Cisco! Beautiful AB!

That was an awfully nice play by Martin.

He looks good in that hat.

A commercial now? MLB sucks.

Some of these guys on MLBN are just too douchey.
Lord knows, there's no sense in turning it on now. I think I heard Harold Reynolds' voice when I was in the kitchen and told the kids they could watch cartoons for 15 more minutes.

I'm not an Everyone Loves Raymond fan, you are going to have to explain this one to me.
Here's a link to the scene. (Washer fluid = Mancini's fielding.)

I know it's no sure thing, but I can't help mentally penciling in 3 of our 5 rotation spots on Opening Day 2022 with these guys.
