Another 0-4 and Nick's OPS is now at .720.

One would guess the walk rate will go down significantly if the pitchers conclude he cannot punish them.

Seems it still might be.

Nick is 10 for his last 38 and his OPS has dipped to 785. No homeruns thus far in nearly 100 plate appearances. ISO at at .037. Still small sample sizes here, but I think an objective person would have to worry about the power numbers and think that the BA and OBP will normalize.

Another win today. They aren't hitting much either.

2-4 with a walk today. In the leadoff spot now. Dude keeps on rolling.

First inning. Bases loaded. Batter (Murphy?) hits a line drive to Nick's left. Probably could not have been caught in the air. Should have easily been caught on the bounce. Misjudged it and took a bad route (exactly what the Mets announcer said). Not enough speed to close the ball so it gets by him and clears the bases. Yeah, I saw he had another double. I was going to watch more but ended up watching the Yankees game. I switched to the Braves because I saw bases loaded in the first.

It's literally the only play in the field I have watched Nick make (or try to make ) this year. Logically, that makes Nick much worse than Snider.

Just tuned in today and he played a ball poorly in the first inning costing at least 1, maybe 2 runs.

Well, it's almost September and expanded rosters so maybe they can keep him. That said, what the hell is going on with Jim Johnson that he can be this pathetic?
