Think that is a different conversation in terms of the draft, Honeycutt was drafted higher then Fabian because Fabian was worse offensively. He was drafted higher then Horvath because he is much better defensively. But yeah, as you pointed out...lot of work to do with Honeycutt to get him to where he needs to be offensively, and very real chance he doesn't get here

This is Fabian’s slash line his senior year at Florida: .239/.414/.598 Honeycutt .318/.410/.724 while their prosper profile is similar in terms of strengths and weaknesses, their production wasn’t
  3. Infield quality today is much different today than it was 50 years ago. Hops are truer, and it’s faster. Even an 80 runner isn’t beating out many infield hits on a regular basis. per batted ball data, line drives have a .685 avg and gb .239. Plus infield ground ball outs (unlike fly ball outs) rarely move runners, and at best you have a single. Hitters are being told to put the ball in the air because teams would like them to be on base.
  4. The Aberdeen to Bowie transition is once again proving powerful
  5. Fabian is interesting because if has enough bat he’d feel a really big hole as a right handed hitting outfielder who can play of defense.
  6. Just think it would be sort of odd to make a move for organizational reasons with your first round pick who is only a year in, you tend to more see that with non prospects. And it doesn’t seem like there are any Delmarva OF who need to get moved up that you would need him to clear the way for
  7. It seems as if they make the decisions based on things other than just the available stats, especially with Aberdeen. I’m curious if you thought Cowser at the time had earned a promotion from Aberdeen to Bowie? Or Gunnar?
  8. I still remember his draft profile, wondering if he could hit for power

Morfe skipping fcl and going to Delmarva. With the new season end dates wonder if we see more of this
  10. What's the real story on his defense? Because I see some reports that his defense at 3b is fine, and then I see other reports that he will probably have to DH?
  11. This is probably a good summary. A right handed hitting outfielder, especially one who can handle LF at Camden Yards and some CF is a real hole on this team. Obviously if they were above avg offensively against both left handed and right handers that would be better.
  12. Am I missing something on Nobry's defense? Because he showed pretty good range and arm on that play
  13. This is why I wish the Orioles would give Westburg some run in CF. He has the straight-line speed for it, no idea of how it would play out overall. Hays is not a good defensive OF at this point, playing him in CF is not worth it, especially as it also means playing a second below avg defensive OF in LF. With what we currently have, Cowser is the best option
