Nunez is an old regime guy too. My gut tells me despite him having no options left, he is gone. They want defense first and he doesn't match that mantra. Just my .02. And as you recall, I was the one saying Nunez might have some promise unlike Drew Dosch (who is now out of baseball I may add....). But defense first in this regime IMO. He might be given a crack to improve since it really doesn't matter but that leash won't be a long one.

Davis may be out of baseball soon sadly. Pulling for him but not feeling optimistic. Guaranteed contracts in mlb are a glorious thing for the players.

Gausman deal is now officially a train wreck, but most of us knew that. If DD has stayed, he might have gotten some of these guys IMO. For me, there is zero reason to follow this team without a change in ownership. The fact that Brady is still here is all you need to know. They need to hire Kim Ng and let Brady go. She is qualified and it will give us some good press. It would be a bright spot in a very dark year.

I hate the Braves more than the Yankees. Don’t really like any team much at all but huge Schoop fan despite the fact he lost his starting job. I hate Hader though, so that’s out. I think the Astros are slightly better than the BoSox and like them in the AL but the AL is so strong.... Man, I guess I’ll pull for the A’s or Dodgers, lol.

You missed the key thing: they adjusted something to improve his breaking pitch. He’s been successful with it. That isn’t just weaker competition, that is a material change.

Maybe we should be investing more in player development? Scouts?:) Just a thought. Ben McDonald said today the drastic improvement in his breaking pitch was a big part of the success. I know we didn’t need more evidence that our org was incompetent with starting pitching but this one hurts. Just like Jake.

Corn and I disagree strongly on this. I thought he should have been promoted to Bowie by now. I think his struggles are a mental one, just my feelings.

Up to .261...2 for 4 last night with a homer. I still believe giving him a shot at Bowie is best for his development, but doubtful it is this year.
