  1. I want to root for Atlanta because of Nick and sticking it to the Nationals, but then I tune in and see fans doing the Tomahawk Chop and I'm like, nah.
  2. This one really sticks in my craw 22 years later:
  3. TIme to bump this thread. Some key milestones: -First win by a starting pitcher -First inning with 3+ runs -First road win
  4. Yup, he was redundant when Craig Gentry was healthy, now redundant again with expanded rosters.
  5. Hopefully they unload a bunch of those AA guys to get marginal talent like Quintana in a couple of weeks..
  6. I looked it up. The Orioles won the game before the Arizona series. O'Day, T.J. MacFarland, and Bud Norris (in relief) got the losses in Arizona. Then the Orioles lost the next game to Colorado, but Wei-Yin Chen started and got the loss. The Orioles won the next night (behind Bud Norris!). So it's still an open question.
  7. When is the last time the Orioles had a 4-game losing streak where in each of the losses the losing pitcher was a reliever? You might have to go back to before 2012.
  8. That's why I hate the Yankees the most. The Red Sox and Jays are temporary annoyances, but if I live to be 100, I will still hear dumb ugly Yankees fans saying "count the rings" and of course they'll always be right. And at least the Red Sox and Jays have had to go through periods of losing in order to reload. The worst a 30-year old Yankee fan has had to deal with is what, a few years from 2013-2016 where they won 85ish games and got eliminated in late September? And that qualifies as a rebuilding period? Screw them. And how have they built themselves "the right way" any more than Boston? Pedroia, Benitendi, Betts, Bradley, and Bogaerts are homegrown.
  9. Before I went to check, I thought you must be referring to Yovani Gallardo, who started for the Mariners, but that would really be stretching the meaning of "friend."
  10. It will sting a lot more if the Red Sox come back and win. Apparently Dellin Betances has the night off, so say hello to closer Tommy Layne(?!)
  11. Chen is finding the Tigers aren't any less scary or right-handed when it's interleague. At least the Marlins don't play the Blue Jays this year.
  12. We learned that Ubaldo is not ready for prime time. What about Brach? I didn't see much of the game, what's his deal lately?
  13. The Nationals are hot on the Orioles' tail with their ninth straight win. Four out of their last five wins have been walkoffs but I haven't heard a peep about their success being due to luck.
  14. Orioles have the same record as the Red Sox did last year through 125 games.
  15. Erik Bedard has come on lately. Six one-hit innings tonight to beat Cleveland.
  16. Mark Reynolds homered off of David Robertson for #8. And Bernie Brewer slid down the slide but not into a giant mug of beer because we wouldn't want to encourage beer consumption at Miller™ Park.
  17. Tommy Hunter cost the O's a chance at a positive run differential! They are now even at 141-141. Toronto is the only team in the division with a positive run differential.
  18. Brian Roberts hits a game-winning solo jack in the top of the ninth. His first home run of the year.
  19. Please don't touch bats, indeed. Well, maybe move that Yankee one to the bottom.
  20. Reynolds just hit his fifth home run to tie the game against the Pirates.
