  1. People with Cow in their name are easy to link to milk. Dig The Cowsills (still one of my favorite bands after seeing them on TV in '68).
  2. Agreed. It works as a color scheme. Pretty much the same as this. Proven. Btw, regarding Cowser, when it rains, it pours!
  3. Burnes has the personality of Bedard, eh?
  4. At the plate, Holliday has that little half smile - half smirk that Frazier had last year. Frazier's was more of an Elvis' Lip thing.
  5. Total agreement. His arm will probably continue to be a plus and another team may find that to their liking. Runners find out the hard way not to run on him, but otherwise, the writing is on the wall.
  6. And @ArtVanDelay, I like Hays (I did that silly The Ballad of Austin Hays last year). But he's just in the funk of all funks right now, and even with hard hit balls, no luck.
  7. You could say he's the team anchor. Of course, my analogy works a couple of opposite ways.
  8. Yeah, it's not like it's a ton better visually. I watch on a pretty huge screen, too. Maybe it's better on smaller screens for the people replying otherwise on here.
  9. The guy in glasses next to Burnes in this interview looks like Mike Mills from REM.
  10. Most of last year, too. I haven't used it this season.
  11. Good point. I do know there's a call for cicadas to come out of the ground sometime later this year. I just hope the groundskeepers at OPACY will have a Terminix contract in hand for that eventuality.
  12. I saw it last year. It was fun to watch on the iPhone while I had it on the TV. It's a pretty cool thing to have if you don't have access to the game. Fun to change angles.
  13. It'll even out over time. I agree though, that it's just not fun being behind the eight ball so much early in the season.
  14. Thank goodness that buildsubmarines overlay we keep seeing (mound tonight) is about The US Navy and not some private affair with experimental craft. That was my first impression. Speaking of sinking subs, there goes Wells.
  15. Pop up turn into flash mobs. What in the world is happening with those tweeners just past the infield ?
  16. That's kind of like saying "didn't it take you forty years to make your first million?" I was happy for him to get into the HOF. He was a feared hitter and I dreaded him coming to bat when I followed the O's on the radio in the 70s. He was in the top five in MVP voting six times, won it once. He was only 2nd in ROY because his teammate Fred Lynn had such a monster rookie year. He was in simple terms, a stud hitter. Averaged 30 HRs a year for his career and RBI over 100.
  17. Yeah, I know what you mean. The O's were always my team, but the 70s Red Sox had some hosses and I did admire them. Him, Fred Lynn, Pudge, Yaz on and on. And that's only a few of 'em and none of the pitchers.
  18. All three hosts were dwelling on all the Boston mistakes, so it went from there. They are still talking about it as I still have it on.
  19. Baseball is just pure crazy. With all of the fun, it slipped my mind Boston was up 2-1 in the 8th.
  20. Dunk's comment was "Jesus Jackson" and a WTF or something. And I joked that the moderators should move it to the Brothers in Christ thread.
  21. Jim Rice on the Orioles on the postgame: "I'm not impressed by them. They're not thumping the ball, but they get the key hits when they need them."
  22. How do you like dem apples, Boston!?
  23. Right, I was just replying to his comment that the game being "Baumann-proof".
  24. Of course, wasn't he the one who got the sloppy 10 wins off of other people's work last year?
