  1. I'll watch as much as I did the whole postseason when O's aren't in it, ie. at most the last 3 innings per game. Of course, I watched maybe 5 innings of NL postseason play this year.
  2. Pitch to Judge and find out, I guess.
  3. At least blue will help outfielders track fly balls better. That off white color was really bad for in-game purposes.
  4. This is what I hope this leads to, ie. putting pressure on teams that have blackouts to finally abandon them. I think the MLB takeover this may be the momentum that forces the regional networks to follow suit.
  5. MLB To Take Over Broadcasts For Twins, Guardians, Brewers In 2025 "MLB will now be handling the broadcasts of at least six clubs, as it was already distributing for the Padres, Diamondbacks and Rockies. Fans will be able to sign up for direct-to-consumer streaming packages without blackouts, except for games that are being broadcasted nationally. The Rangers also saw their Diamond deal expire in 2024 but seem to be in a different situation for now. MLB announced that Texas wouldn’t be continuing with Diamond but are exploring local options for 2025." "There will be other long-term questions to be answered in time. Commissioner Rob Manfred intends to market a streaming package consisting of multiple teams at some point in the future, perhaps as soon as 2025. MLB.TV has existed for years but with consumers affected by local blackout rules. The idea going forward would be to essentially make a blackout-free version of MLB.TV. There would be complications in such a plan, as clubs like the Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs and others handle their own games via broadcasters that are at least partially owned by the team. Given their relatively stable footing, they would have less interest in joining such a plan with the other clubs."
  6. So game 3 with CLE at DET is a bullpen game with Alex Cobb taking the first 3 innings. I had not kept up with him in ages and kind of shocked to see him in this role, as he only played in 3 MLB games this year, starting all 3 and going 16 innings. Aug. 9 and 14 and Sept. 1. His line today: 3.0IP 3H 2R 2ER 1BB 2K
  7. It's so heartening to see how the folks of the state and in some cases like this, folks right there in the middle of it chipping in and being so selfless. My sister sent me this from our 2nd cousin southwest of Asheville in Sylva. He owns a diner named after his mom and dad and have been feeding utility workers and anyone needing a meal since they were able to get up and running.
  8. "Lego playing softie white bread error machines" I am totally stealing this for my personal use.
  9. Other than that, how'd you like the game? Joking aside, that's a comprehensive list. Thank you. The one trick that I found to get around long lines in bathrooms is to plan a trip to The Sportsbook Cafe (former Dempseys). It's rarely crowded in there. Some people spend a lot of time on message boards, but as you can tell, I devote a lot of my time finding restroom options everywhere I go. I'm pee shy.
  10. I was given three free tix to see them in Durham in '23. They oversold the tix, ie. the seats were not assigned, first come / first serve, the line to get in was ridiculously long, and we had to stand in the miserable heat and humidity of a NC summer. Worst baseball in person experience of my life. Just goofy from the little I got to see in the three person deep standing room only crowd. We left after three innings or whatever they call it in their version of the game. Way too loud, too. Just too much BS going on. It was like the baseball version of drinking WAY too much gin and fruit punch and the wild colors give you the bed spins.
