They actually looked ok with the white pants last week. But the black/black pairing with the white belt make them look like 40s Western Swing musicians. Might as well have bandanas and boots, too.
I can't see that on my app. I mistakenly said I was watching via my Mac on my TV. But this time, I'm using FireTV's MLB app. The option are very limited, but it's still pretty cool overall. Activating the Gameday option shows the pitch sequence and the pitching box history for the at bat.
Speaking of alternate audio, I did switch to there O's radio feed and for the first time ever for me on MLB-TV (streaming from my Mac onto my TV), the audio matches the video perfectly.
So these are their City Connect jerseys in DC. Not terrible, but I think I would have gone for Lincoln beards on each side of the shoulders like epaulets.
I noticed that, too.
I looked up Grich's stats for his first year as an Angel. Did he have an injury? He played very few games in '77. Interestingly, all of them were at SS. He rarely played there after that year. Must have been an arm injury.
Edit: It was a back injury. https://www.nytimes.com/1977/07/02/archives/grich-likely-out-for-year.html
A Reds fan buddy wrote to me this morning.
"Thank God it was not a four game series."
And another wrote:
"This is the most embarrassing series that maybe I have ever seen. The Orioles flew into Kentucky and crossed the bridge and y’all have been kicking Cincinnati’s a$$. The Reds have a few guys out with injury but still they are a work in progress with their rebuild. Baltimore is there Jack! I mean *Jeff. "
* Note: my real name is Jeff.
I really want to dig in to those, too. A friend of mine, who's also a fine Charlotte photographer (our redesigned website has some of his work on the home page), Daniel Coston, sent this to me. He also sent me some old radio shows as well.
