    The trade would have made sense. Both players UFA's after the season. Marlins needed some bats in the lineup. We had backlog of players to fill the RF/DH role. Not quite the same as moving a 24 yo starter who is performing well at AAA

    You got negative repped because all you are doing is trying to do in the thread is say you are low on Povich, and carrying over that opinion from the minor league thread. Even if you are low on him and think he is at his peak value, proposing to move him for a rental reliever who walks a batter per inning deserves a downvote.

    Only if the relief pitching is an elite back end, high leverage guy who is clearly better than what we already have back there. Or a solid bullpen piece (Akin caliber) with options.
