  1. All the talk about facing LH pitchers and needing RH bats to match up - I think it’s a bit overblown. Our approach was terrible and our guys failed to play team baseball just as much against RHP w/ platoon advantage. Guys just consistently failed to do their job.
  2. He only had 279 plate appearances
  3. Trade Mullins & Mountcastle. Let O’Hearn go. Sign Juan Soto
  4. I think the original thread title was more appropriate. They didn’t choke under pressure - they stunk for 3 months and continued to stink for 2 more games.
  5. Just listened to it for the um first time. Not sure how anyone could um listen to that um entire uh press conference, um three uh times.
  6. They will try to apply it towards next year’s tickets
  7. If it is on him, then he should resign.
  8. Sure. We have an extremely unbalanced, LH heavy lineup, especially in the OF. Mullins has established himself as a low .700 OPS guy at the plate, and will be walking at the end of the season. Might as well get something for him this offseason while making our roster more balanced.
  9. Our SS is Gunnar, our CF in this scenario would be Cowser, and C is Adley. Hopefully none of those guys are in contention for being the team's worst hitter next season. We don't need a power bat in LF - we need to add a good contact bat, that can use all fields and run.
  10. I think green bar above the color coded line is Swing and the brown bar below the color coded line is Take. So data from each zone straddles its color coded line. So he was bad when he took pitches in the heart, and bad when he swung at them in the shadow.
  11. Yep - Eflin was perfectly reasonable as a free agent prior to 2023.
  12. Whose 2025 is closer to their September '24? Suarez: 6.20 ERA, 1.419 WHIP, .960 Opp OPS, 2.88 K/BB Povich: 2.60 ERA, 0.868 WHIP, .558 Opp OPS, 4.00 K/BB
  13. As I said, "part of a package". There would need to be prospects involved as well. But Seattle had positional WAR's of: 1B: -1.0 2B: 0.1 RF: -0.3 DH: -0.8 WAR for the guys I mentioned, Mullins (2.6), Mountcastle (2.6), O'Hearn (2.0), Urias (1.5) Maybe Seattle can go out and sign Soto to be a difference maker, but the guys I mentioned would improve their team.
  14. Seattle should be a possible trade partner for a starter - Mullins, Mountcastle, Urias, O'Hearn are major league bats that could help their offense and be part of a trade package. They found out that having the best rotation in baseball can only get you so far if you can't score runs.
