  1. Since I know some people don't go to the other forums much, I though I'd post this here as a reminder.
  2. 1st updated of the year. Will now update weekly!
  3. Actually, no, he did not have better at bats today. He hit one ball hard which would have been a 4-3 if Frazier was playing at regular depth instead of a lineout with the infield drawn in. He rolled over on a fastball he should have drove for a 4-3, struck out on 3-2 middle-middle fastball, and then walked against a AAAA left-handed reliever late in the game. He did make a very nice play in the field on a liner, but also did not sprint to first base on the bunt and ended up late for a bunt hit. I suggested waiting for May 1st before making a decision, but he may set a futility record for worse average to start a major league career from a non-pitcher by then. He needs to go back to AAA and reset. Bring up either Norby or Mayo.
  4. I don't typically watch the after game interviews with the players, but Cowser and Westburg together are gold.
  5. Nice win. Great start by Irvin and the bullpen was fine.
  6. I'll take 2 of 3 from the Royals in KC. Just win series baby!
  7. Dang Tony, that was ball four by a foot.
  8. I feel better about Tate in the 9th now that we're up 5-0... Even better at 6-0.
  9. Urias has been hitting good as a PH lately. Good for him.
  10. I hope Gunnar didn't hurt his finger on that slide. Seemed to grimace and kept looking at it.
  11. This is a AAA lefty. Now let's get AAA Holliday going.
  12. It's an unbelievable arm, but there's some effort to that delivery. He just looks like a guy who will head to TJ sooner than later. If I'm the Pirates, I'm not wasting too many bullets in the minors.
  13. Bearded Coulombe showed back up with unbearded Coulombe. Two big Ks.
  14. If I didn't think Skenes arm is going to fly off one day, I'd consider it just because we have so many guys who can replace him.
  15. Two great pitches un the end. Glad Ruts was thinking like I was after he golfed that curveball.
  16. Uggh, perfect pitch from Coulombe.. Just missed by a hair.
  17. Pitch him up and in with the fastball.
  18. This bullpen is an absolute disaster right now. Not a single guy you feel good about outside of Kimbrel right now.
  19. Why do you feel every prospect will fail in the beginning no matter what? Saying that, I'd give Norby a chance so if Holliday gets hot you can send him back. If Mayo comes up and tears it up, what do they do with Holliday?
  20. We better be up by about 6 runs.
  21. It would be great if Webb can have a low pitch count 8th and finish off the game in the 9th. That would save Kimbrel for tomorrow night's game.
  22. Webb needs to get four outs.
  23. Hasn't been many of those either. But those are taken into xWOBA and XBA and those numbers are terrible. Even his hard hit ball to second base most like would have been a 4-3 if Frazier is playing normal distance.
  24. You are acting though like everyone is overreacting when we're showing you that every data point shows that he's not hitting well. His whiff rate is through the roof, he's not having productive at bats, and he's rarely driving the ball.
  25. I don't know if you just in a troll mood, or just messing around at this point, but you are definitely too smart to think this way.
