C'mon, show some respect for differing opinions. I wanted Adley but just because someone wanted a talented player like Witt doesn't make them a dumbass.
Witt Jr. Has stolen 20 out of 24 bases before that try and was actually safe until he overslid the bag. Rutschman has struggled to throw out runners this year and it took a pitch out and he still was safe until he overslid the bag.
He's got a 4-1 lead and as at 72 pitches. I think it was too early. Maybe you don't let him face the tie run at the plate, but you got to let him see if he can get the next guy.
Personally I don't think they should start playing matchups offensively until the 7th inning unless it's a key situation and the platoon difference was huge and you gain a defensive advantage. And certainly not in a 4-1 game.
72 pitches and Capt Hook is like, that's enough with the top of the order coming up.
I guess I get it but probably would have let him see if he could get next guy and then pulled him if he had two guys on and Perez coming up.
Either way, good outing by Irvin.
Oh, and pulling O'Hearn in the 5th for McKenna is a huge head scratcher? There were two outs. No idea?
Your literal comment , "I find the practice annoying myself but for some folks it's less greed and more making rent and putting food on the table."
Just sayin'.
Clearly to you that's correct. I have little doubt you 100% had an issue with a throw away comment in a game thread that called this a "revenge" game for a player who might possibly want revenge for the team that released him.
Don't try and stop CoC's bleeding heart. People got to eat man. They gotta get there early, pay $35 bucks for a seat, then get a bobblehead and put it EBAY to eat man. things are rough out there!
Agreed, it's not a perfect metric to judge, but if you want to find a .510 xBA play where the outfielder made a nice play, but it was because he made it a nice play by misplaying, feel free to show me.
