Watching the games.
Based on the innings pitched, I think your conclusion is wrong.

I turned on the game about a minute before the catch by Taveras. That catch was really unfortunate in more ways than one, lol. And I don't believe him for a second.

Tate and Sulser is worse but wells coming off injuries is just as bad. Also the amount of time he warms pitchers up without putting him into games. I’m not arguing that the bullpen doesn’t have a lot of arms but he over uses arms.
Based on what evidence?

Some swear words in it as one would guess, so careful kids, but the jomboy breakdown has a good amount of detail on the exchange.
I saw Eduardo Perez on the Sunday Night countdown show, and A-Rod in booth with favorable takes on Machado's conduct in this one.
Our Manny has grown up. I'm impressed.

Two things to remember is that Lowther has 7.0 extension on his fastball and he gets 12 inches of horizontal movement on his 4-seamer which is 98% batter than major league average.
When he's locating it like he did last night, that fastball certainly plays even at the 89-92.5 (91 avg) MPH range.
IF, and it's a big if he can develop more feel for the changeup, he could really be something. Right now though, it's very inconsistent and he has not shown the ability to throw it for strikes low and away against RHB very often.
Here's all ten changeups from last night.https://www.mlb.com/video/00u7jzgkdtP9kH55c356/reels/lowther-changeup-vs-texas
Notice the one good 81 MPH low and away changeup got the swing and miss. That's what he needs to find more often. If he ends up with a playable change his fastball will really play up even more.
Of all the rookie pitchers that have come up this year, Lowther's stuff is the one that looks like it will play as a starter. Mark my words, he's the guy that will end up the best starter out of Akin, Wells, Zimmerman and Baumann (who I think is ending up in relief unless he can use that curveball more effectively because he lost his feel for his change this year).
Pretty amazing - 12 inches of horizontal movement. I imagine that degree of movement makes it a little more difficult to control. I'm remembering thinking Miguel Castro was going to be a star - when I first saw him throwing upper 90's with what looked like a ton of horizontal movement. Problem was it always seemed to move a couple inches out of the zone when he needed to hit it. He would have been (and still could be) great if he could just command his fastball a little better. But at some point, ya gotta do it, and he hasn't.

But it's ok when teams that have clenched playoff spots do it. What's wrong with a terrible team like the O's resting their players.
Because I make the rules. j/k
Do playoff teams actually do that? probably not for more than a couple of games. Not 9 games - especially with only 2 extra roster spots this year for September.

Good diagnosis. That's not an ML fastball from a velocity perspective. I hope he's learned to attack more with the curve and the slider.
One surprising thing in the link Tony provided on the fastball swings and misses (and there were a lot), was Lowther hit 93 on one of them - though all the others were 90 or 91. And I think the point Tony was making about his fastball is that it works within Lowther's arsenal - primarily with his high fastball complementing his low breaking balls. And when he's got the spin rates going like he did, his fastball is effective. It's certainly better than Alex Wells'. Maybe it's the glasses.

Honest question, do you think the O’s should go out of their way (more than usual) to field non competitive teams for the last 9 games to try and get 1-1. They can sit Means, Mancini, Mountcastle, Santander and Mullins once he gets 30-30 all in the name of “evaluating other players”. And really does it matter that much that we get 1-1 instead of 1-2?
Hell no. It goes against the integrity of the game to sit all of your good players. And the O's have already shown the ability to lose without even trying. Also, I don't buy the hype about Elijah Green being the clear 1-1.

He's not a big picture guy.
Look at Trey, he's 0-4 with a couple K's because he knows what's best for the future of the team. But he doesn't pitch, he can't do it alone.
Trey's a team player. When he's not getting thrown out trying to use his speed to stretch a double into a triple, he's striking out or hitting into a DP, being a step slow trying to stop that liner down the... line. Hays - not so much lately - very selfish.
-
Some real good stats but it's a no from me for next year. There's just too much swing and miss to his game right now. I hope he proves me wrong.
-
And he fouls out. Plech.
-
2 out rally - Hays up with RISP.

On pace for the rare 54 strikeout 9 inning game. Just what you would expect when both pitchers come in with ERAs over 9.
Lol. All swinging SO's except for Mullins'.

Lowther strikes out the side on just 23 pitches.
3K's and an infield single. I'll take that every time - even if it comes with a wild pitch.

Are you saying that you would rather focus on an interview than the next pitch? Are you suggesting that watching the interview after the game or before the game is no different than watching the interview during the game?
oookkk, your choice.
I gotta agree with Moose on this. It's not like they do interviews during games often, and I remember being mystified when you were all over them for interviewing ex-O's on the day they were inducted into the O's HOF. That was exactly when they should have interviewed them. I expect that most O's fans - like me - appreciated those interviews. The tv interviews were a lot of fun to watch/listen to.

The amazing thing is, as bad as their bullpen is, it's still a big improvement over last year's dumpster fire Philly bullpen, which approached historic levels of badditude.
Yup, being a Braves fan, I enjoyed watching the Phillies implode at the end of so many games - and didn't like them beating the O's.
-
Not to mention, Philly is starting a SS we got rid of - at 3B. And they have a poor bullpen themselves.

How could I forget, the legal fees the Angelos law firm collected paid for the whole of the Nashville Orioles payroll for three seasons running.
Who would have thought the Lerners would hire the Angelos'. It made world peace seem possible.
Wait what... the Nashville Orioles? Time is truly warped.

They're playing the Dubai Sandworms.
Gosh, remember that vicious legal fight over that name between the Sandworms and the Savannah Sandnats - the Nats' minor league team - cost Dubai a fortune in bitcoins.

Will the real Keegan Akin please step up please stand up, please stand up. He's got to show up in ST in shape and in command. Then, he can be our 5th starter. Otherwise... bullpen.

I was doing this from memory, which was a mistake. What I recalled from when I looked at this a few years ago were statements that MD is the only state that imposes both estate and inheritance taxes. But the MD inheritance tax does not apply to an inheriting spouse or child (among others), so it's not relevant here. https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/maryland-inheritance-tax.html
I think that is correct, and like I said - everything else you said was spot on.

And Drew's actually a month younger than Grayson. Great to have 2 21 year old starters who could make their MLB debuts next season and become stalwarts in the rotation. Hall just turned 23 - he's the old man of the group.
So, Ballards is a verb?
