1. The draft is all about projection and youth - the youther the better, as they say. If he stuck around another year, he'd have to improve significantly just to keep the same prospect status. He's already a clear 1st round pick. If he sticks around and shows he's a tweener - not big enough for PF and not the perimeter skills and athleticism of a SF, then he potentially drops out of the first round. Anything's possible, but I'd be surprised if he stays another year. More importantly, MD got Diamond Stone!
 2. I think the assumption is that Dekker is leaving for the NBA - for good reason considering how he's looked in the post-season. Wisconsin will likely be a solid team, but losing Dekker and Kaminsky will leave a mark - and they don't have the upside MD has. If Brantley and Trimble develop chemistry together - this MD team could win a national championship.
 3. I would go with Seattle over you on this one. If he stays healthy, he'll be worth the money. And winning is better than losing.
 4. I see. Seattle loses their pick, but it doesn't go to the O's. The O's just get the supplemental pick. My answer to the poll question depends on what they do to replace his bat. If they manage to make a good trade for Kemp, I'll give them a thumbs up. But if they don't get a reliable middle of the lineup bat, I give them a thumbs down. It's the combination of moves that's more important than the individual moves, imo.
 5. Also, I'd expect that he'll have fewer days suspended. In case you're wondering, that's not age related. Apologies if it's been asked and/or answered before, but what is the O's draft pick compensation going to be?
 6. I'd expect the best predictor of health is the health he's in now and the health he had last season.
 7. An extra day to stare in awe at the standings.
 8. I think this is a better way of viewing it - If he stays in 2015, it's a collateral benefit. Gravy, if you will.
 9. A couple of factors I think people on the outside don't pay any attention to that do matter: - If Miller likes Baltimore and the O's organization, he's much more likely to sign here than he would if he wasn't traded here. - The O's are now in a position where they don't have to go to both O'Day and Britton every game they have a small lead. Those 2 were both bound to get over-used. I want to see Britton here for many years to come (and then got more than EdRod for him in trade ) and not end up like JJ.
 10. Please tell me that was intended to be funny.
 11. It's hard to start an Eddie Eddie chant on a message board.
 12.

Are you the same WizStorm from RealGM.com? If yes, good to see ya! Your taste in teams to root for is as bad as mine! As far as I know, there's nobody else from RealGM here.

 13.

Thanks for your comment the other day on my post about Turner and the PC self-righeous crowd. Very cool of you to say that.

 14.

I thought Zaun deserved more support than my fellow posters were giving him. Yeah, if I knew it would turn out the way it did, I never would have posted. Obviously, I thought it was important. If I'm the only one - so be it.

 15. I'm probably the only one, but I'd probably put Wilfredo Perez at 10 - even though he's way too old for Delmarva, is rail thin, and never goes over 4 innings.
