  1. It's a Zack Britton sinker and Gregg Olson curve.
  2. He's in for Gunnar and Adley most of all.
  3. I think it all depends on who gets injured/traded/DFA'd
  4. Don't misunderstand me. My mom instilled on me a complete disdain for the Yankees back in the 70s. Can't tell you how many times I heard her yell at her radio "$%^& Munson!" (Or insert Guidry, Jackson, Nettles, Gossage, Chambliss). She did the same all the way through her passing in 2005. The players' names changed, but the vitriol and venom were the same. It's just not the same with this Yankees lineup. How do you yell at Volpe, Cabrera and Grisham in the same way you did at Giambi, ARod and Jeter?
  5. What I mean is... this is not the Yankees who spend the most money for free agents, who spend the most money to retain players. Look at the lineup tonight. Only Soto and Rizzo are FAs, but everyone else is a homegrown talent. The Yankees have to be pocketing millions and millions of profit right now, don't they?
  6. This is still the Evil Empire But this is not the Evil Empire we all grew to hate in the 70s, 80s, 90s and into the 21st century
  7. Perhaps... but if he is an actual 5th starter, with Burnes, GRod, Bradish, Means all effective... it turns this rotation into a dangerous WS contender. Yes?
  8. We "need" one of them to be ready right? Makes the deadline dealing a lot easier?
  9. Agreed. But... I'm only assuming one of them is going to be solid
  10. Kremer is a great #5 if Bradish and Means actually slot into the rotation. I still think the O's need another starter and solid bullpen arm before the deadline.
  11. Jacob Freaking Webb And I don't mean Freaking
  12. WTF... Webb working on an immaculate inning
  13. That might be the worst swing I have ever seen a ML hitter take
  14. Let's hope Bucknor has a reservation in Little Italy
  15. The O's would too if Elias would actually draft pitching
  16. I know... but other than Soto, Judge and Cole (and maybe Rodon and Rizzo), there are not maximum salary guys at every position. This is pretty much a home grown team.
  17. This is not the Evil Empire I grew up hating
  18. He may not have the same build, but he reminds me a lot of Sid Fernandez. His fastball sneaks up on you
  19. Agreed. He kept Soto in the ballpark and got Judge out on a groundball for the second time.
  20. Have to say I'm shocked at Judge's slow start so far this year. If he isn't leading the league in OPS, the Yankees offense isn't that scary.
  21. Look at you with the Firestone Reverse Jinx
