The O's brought the B team tonight. Other that Sanchez, there isn't a starter on the field. This is the good D no O team tonight. Won't win many when you don't score.

6-4-3 DP. Lowther pulls a rabbit out of the bases loaded hat.!!!
-
Listening to NESN radio. They are blasting Orioles ownership. Won't hear that on O's radio broadcast.
-
Wheels just came off the Lopez mobile. Good first two innings. Not so much this inning. 3 HR and 7 runs.
-
George Kell. Went out on top. Went to the AS game as the Os rep in 1957. Played 3rd. Elected to HOF in 1983. Retired after 57. Followed in 1958 by Brooks.

Quick game, lots of action and best of all----Os win!!!

I'm waiting for the day a manager says of his guy, "You know his stat line looks pretty good but he's been a lucky SOB.".
Maybe Buck talking Ute Jake Fox. Lol

Braves announcers been heaping love on Os players. Talking about Musina going to HOFand how he was one of a few to hang it up after winning 20 in his last season. Not complementary about Os management. Not given current stats on spring training. Wondering if there is even a PR guy available. Talking about what a tough division Os are in.

CATCHER dropped a relay throw that allowed Urias to score from first.. P runner for Galvis.
-
Ground rule double for Ruiz. 2-1 Os.
-
Mountie stings a line drive to left that gets to the wall for a 2.
-
Fry escapes leaving runners at 2&3.
-
Hays leads off with a single to left. Advances to second on a squiber to first by Sisco. Wild pitch, Hays to third. Sanchez BB.. Pitching change. Morton out. Newcombe new pitcher. Mullins gets a sac fly off a left handed pitcher who had hit 100. Tie game. Mancini Ks.
-
Braves announcers waxing poetic about Ed Smith stadium. What a great facility.
Mountie throws out a runner trying to go from first to third on a hit. Tanner Ks batter for last out
.

d'Arnaud follows with a hit, but a 2-3 and a1-4-3 retires the side.
-
Braves finally get a hit. Albies blasts it to left. A no doubter. 0-1, Braves
-
Means and Morton mowing them down. Means nine up, nine down. Morton has given up two hits, but one was an infield single to the hole at ss. Hays with a hustle double.

Sounds like a live broadcast on MLB at bat. Atlanta feed.

Prior to 1962 the NFL played a 12 game season. Season was over after the new year started. Left an almost three month stretch before spring training got under way and some sport might be on the 13" B&W tv in April. Those were tough days.

Tell them that they aren’t paying them. I’m sure plenty of people would love the exposure and would volunteer for it.
Isn't that what they are doing with the group of broadcaster's they brought in last year? Think of the exposure you'd get doing big league games. Get a free sub, chips, and a coke at Weiss. No criticism, or no sub and you're out of here by sundown.

I must have missed it, but I haven't seen anyone mention B-rob. Is he gone? I thought I heard him on some broadcasts last summer.

The lease to Camden Yards is the important key to the sell, buy, move puzzle. No new lease and sell and move is on the table. New lease, move option is removed from the table. Sell still very much a possibility.

Put Ritchie Martin at short for the first 50 to 60 games and see what he’s got. Keep Ruiz at third, and Sanchez at second. With Davis at first you have a solid field no hit infield. Just rely on analytics to position the infielders. All they need is an accurate arm so they don’t throw too many balls away and soft hands to pickup the balls hit at them. Don’t need great range. Pitchers are expected to strike out at least one batter per inning so don’t need as good an infield defense as before. Less ground balls to be fielded. Valaika can be subbed at any position and could still get his AB’s. That way, the Orioles can save 2.5 million on a ss and be just as good as if they did spend the money. Winning is not the objective in 2021.

WHat is going on? Mounty another walk and Williams a hit!, oh well. Forget about it. Get them next time.

A big 4 hit evening for the Balt boys. Makes for a quick game, if you don't make too many gaffs on D. Maybe they are listening to Hyde and tightening it up. Now he has to jump on the offense and get it to come around.
