Sucks. Sounds like TJ is likely required. Hey, he's still young, and his career is most certainly NOT over. Get it fixed, rehab it, and then get back.

So let's assume (fingers crossed) he finishes the season at Frederick healthy and with, what, maybe 50-60 innings pitched? I would assume next season he starts in the rotation at Bowie (again, fingers crossed health and performance-wise). Is it realistically conceivable we could see him in Baltimore next summer? I would assume if he gets 60 innings this year, he'd still be limited innings wise next season, maybe to 110-120 IP?

Frederick makes sense, I had forgotten he pitched so many innings at Delmarva already prior to his health issues. I just want the kid to get a full(ish) season in with no health issues and not be rushed.

Good. Let him pitch in Aberdeen, or possibly Salisbury or Frederick for the rest of the season, and let him get through the year healthy. No reason to rush him.

Fair enough, I was only considering the present rosters. We'll see what happens.

I still think Toronto is the team that is the biggest threat to take the division away from us. Boston was playing over their heads. Guys like Bogarts, Bradley, and Betts were carrying the team with their white hot starts, but they can't sustain that level. Pedroia and Ortiz will fade/get dinged up as the season goes along.

That's why I put the word down in quotes.

This team, since 2012, has consistently displayed this trait. Even during the "down" years of 2013 and 2015. I'm a big fan of the culture change Buck (and the players) have brought to the team in the last five years.
