  1. No. Bug spray is a mild deterrent and I don’t care about flowers.
  2. Great, Kevin Brown is going to not shut the **** up about bees for the next three hours and will bring it up often throughout the week.
  3. Do it. My wife won’t get our yard bug sprayed because it’ll kill off the bees. And I’m like, there are plenty of bees all over the goddamn world, they’re not an endangered ****ing species. I’d like to be outside without getting bug bites all over. But no, the bees stay.
  4. I don’t really remember the Ty Blach era in Baltimore. Sounds kinda familiar but it was obviously forgettable.
  5. The run differential has been slowly but surely increasing over the course of the season. In regards to elite SP, I think that’s being taken care of by Bradish who’s ascending this year. I think when people on here complain about not having an elite SP, they’re really complaining about not having a name that baseball fans everywhere can recognize. Bradish is probably pretty obscure to causal fans.
  6. 9/9 with an 81 rarity score this morning. For some reason it was really easy, didn't have to think too much about these guys. I maintain that the more you play this game and the more names you remember over time, the easier it gets. Also maybe since it's a Sunday morning and I'm not preoccupied with my day job, it's a little easier to think about this.
  7. I think this is where we differ a little. Not on our take of what Hall is, but our hopes for him. In other words, I shudder to think of a game situation where Fuji is shaky and then Hall is the guy to come in after him in a tight situation. IMO, there’s room in a bullpen for one Fuji/Hall type, a guy with tremendous stuff but iffy command. Having two of those guys in the pen is playing with matches and a gas tank. But perhaps I’m overthinking this.
  8. I think the Fuji response here was a bit mixed. IMO people got excited after they saw the power fastball and he had a good performance. It’s hard to not get excited about the raw skills though, I agree with you there.
  9. I like the differential between his fastball and change up but when he had that batter 0-2 then went 3-2 I wasn’t thrilled. Overall he looked pretty good though.
  10. I think that’s pretty accurate. Wells and Hall are going to add back that depth that we’ve lost by having everyone move back a spot in the bullpen. On an unrelated note, I didn’t know I needed a John Deere backhoe until I tried to quote your post.
  11. There have been a lot of special seasons, all with varying factors that have made them special and unique. It's hard to pick a favorite. But this one is certainly up there.
  12. When someone in a debate says "Whatever man," that's all you need to know.
  13. So they had to get a lead first, right?
  14. I’d rather have someone who doesn’t have control issues coming out of the pen no matter how hard he throws, Al. I mean, you kind of argued against yourself by bringing up Fuji. That guy is liable to throw gas on a situation because he has poor command. And yet you compared him to Hall? That’s not a ringing endorsement. But multiple secondaries though! Exciting!
