I'd float Mayo's name as a trade candidate and not give a **** if anyone stepped to me with negativity. People get confused easily. I'm not saying I'd actively shop Mayo, but if someone called with a whopper of a deal I'd listen. I wouldn't, like, slam the phone down if someone brought his name up.

I think you missed the point of the post about being cocky. But, fine, I'll play along. You tell me where Norby and Ortiz fit in behind Holliday, Henderson, Westburg, and Mayo. I'd rather trade those two and get back some pitching and keep the rest. That's the thing about this thread, none of these guys should be "untouchable" for the right price. Yeah, it'd have to be a hell of a haul for me to want to trade some of these guys but the flip side seems to be this OH wet dream of making these fantasy lineups in which all of these guys are panning out and somehow on the roster by 2025. There's not going to be room for everyone. And yet, some of you guys are all attached to OMG ORTIZ AND NORBY HOW COULD YOU CALL THEM SCRAPS? The emotional attachment to some of these prospects and the fear of trading them is hysterical. I said it the other day, everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die. Everyone here wants to trade for a frontline starter, but no one wants to part with prospects.

I agree. Outside of Adley, Gunnar, Holliday everyone can be considered. This board is funny. It’s like the fat girl that lost a bunch of weight and came back for senior year looking amazing and gets cocky all of a sudden. All of a sudden you guys act like we’ve got all these untouchable pieces and that if any team wants to deal with us they can take our Norby/Ortiz scraps.

I'm really not interested in the Twins series if Adley, Gunnar, Cowser and Westburg aren't in the lineup each day. Okay, that's a lie, I'm interested no matter what. But the Twins have arguably the best pitching in the game (leading the majors in ERA, WHIP and opponents batting average) and and we need guys that can work a count. Cowser and Westburg look like they know what they're doing at the plate.
